Can wood be taken from it to make anything, or can even a peg be taken from it on which to hang any utensil?If it has been put into the fire for fuel, and the fire has consumed both of its ends and its middle part has been charred, is it then good for anything?Behold, while it is intact, it is not made into anything. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it still be made into anything!

Now Joshua was clothed in filthy garments and was standing before the angel.And he responded and said to those who were standing before him, saying,“ Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him,“ See, I have taken your guilt away from you and will clothe you with festive robes.”

This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have followed other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this undergarment which is completely useless.

who previously was useless to you, but now is useful both to you and to me.
