Can people from Ethiopia change their skin? Can leopards change their spots? It’s the same with you. You have always done what is evil. So how can you do what is good?

「人心比什麼都詭詐，無可救藥，誰能識透呢？

你們為什麼一再叛逆？你們還要受責打嗎？你們已經頭破血流，身心疲憊。

我責打你們的兒女，卻是徒勞，因為他們不受管教。你們殺害你們的先知，殘暴如獅子。

就算把愚人放在臼裡與麥子一起搗碎，他仍然難脫愚昧。

耶和華啊，你要的不是誠實嗎？你責打他們，他們不感到疼痛；你嚴懲他們，他們仍不受教。他們屢教不改，臉比石頭還硬。

風箱猛力吹火，鉛也會熔掉；但他們被煉了又煉，終是徒然，因為他們的邪惡仍未除去。他們被稱為廢棄的銀渣，因為耶和華已丟棄他們。」
