昔有群民、上帝付爾、爾以自詡、而今安在、爾舉目觀瞻、見民至自北方、

爾舉目而觀、見敵來自北方、昔所付爾之群眾、即爾至美之群羊、而今安在、

Look up and see those who are coming from the north. Where is the flock that was entrusted to you, the sheep of which you boasted?

Jerusalem, look up! Your enemies are coming from the north. Where is the flock you were supposed to take care of? Where are the sheep you were so proud of?

“ Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?

Open up your eyes and see the armies marching down from the north! Where is your flock— your beautiful flock— that he gave you to care for?

Look up and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?

“ Raise your eyes and see Those coming from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, Your beautiful sheep?

Lift up your eyes and see Those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given to you, Your beautiful sheep?

Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?

Look up and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?

Then I said,“ Look up, Jerusalem, and see the enemy that is coming from the north. Where now is the flock of people that were entrusted to your care? Where now are the‘ sheep’ that you take such pride in?

Lift up your eyes, and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given to you, your beautiful flock?

耶和華如此說：「看哪，有一民族從北方而來；有一大國被激起，從地極來到。

看哪，我必興起迦勒底人，就是那殘忍暴躁之民，通行遍地，霸佔不屬自己的住處。

耶和華－以色列的上帝論到那些牧養他百姓的牧人如此說：「你們趕散我的羊羣，並未看顧他們；看哪，我必懲罰你們的惡行。這是耶和華說的。

耶和華對我說：「必有災禍從北方發出，臨到這地所有的居民。

所以我今日向你們作證，你們中間無論何人死亡，罪不在我。因為上帝一切的旨意，我並沒有退縮不傳給你們的。聖靈立你們作全羣的監督，你們就當為自己謹慎，也為全羣謹慎，牧養上帝的教會，就是他用自己血所買來的。我知道，在我離開以後必有兇暴的豺狼進入你們中間，不顧惜羊羣。

有風聲！看哪，來了！有大擾亂從北方而來，要使猶大的城鎮變為廢墟，成為野狗的住處。

你們若不聽這話，我的心必因你們的驕傲暗自哭泣；我的眼必痛哭流淚，因為耶和華的羊羣被擄去了。

因為，看哪，我要在這地立一個牧人；他不看顧將亡的，不尋找分散的，不醫治受傷的，也不牧養強壯的；卻要吞吃肥羊的肉，撕裂牠們的蹄。禍哉！無用的牧人丟棄羊羣，刀必臨到他的膀臂和右眼上；他的膀臂必全然枯乾，他的右眼也必昏暗失明。」

野地的走獸，你們都來吞吃吧！林中的野獸，你們也來吞吃！以色列的守望者都瞎了眼，沒有知識；都是啞狗，不會吠叫，只知做夢，躺臥，貪睡，這些狗貪食，不知飽足。這些牧人不知明辨，他們都偏行己路，人人追求自己的利益。他們說：「來吧！我去拿酒，讓我們暢飲烈酒吧！明天必和今天一樣，甚至更好！」

「所以，你們這些牧人要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，我的羊因無牧人就成為掠物，也作了一切野獸的食物。我的牧人不尋找我的羊；這些牧人只知餵養自己，並不餵養我的羊。所以你們這些牧人要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華如此說：看哪，我必與牧人為敵，從他們手裏討回我的羊，使他們不再牧放羣羊；牧人也不再餵養自己。我必救我的羊脫離他們的口，不再作他們的食物。」

雇工不是牧人，羊不是他自己的，他一看見狼來，就撇下羊羣逃跑；狼抓住羊，把牠們趕散。雇工逃走，因為他是雇工，對羊毫不關心。
