Look up and see those who are coming from the north. Where is the flock that was entrusted to you, the sheep of which you boasted?

Jerusalem, look up! Your enemies are coming from the north. Where is the flock you were supposed to take care of? Where are the sheep you were so proud of?

“ Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?

Open up your eyes and see the armies marching down from the north! Where is your flock— your beautiful flock— that he gave you to care for?

Look up and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?

Then I said,“ Look up, Jerusalem, and see the enemy that is coming from the north. Where now is the flock of people that were entrusted to your care? Where now are the‘ sheep’ that you take such pride in?

耶和華說：「看啊，有一個民族從北方來，有一個強國從地極發動進攻。

我要使兇殘、暴虐的迦勒底人興起。他們要席捲天下，強佔別人的家園。

以色列的上帝耶和華這樣斥責那些統治祂子民的首領：「你們驅散我的子民，沒有照顧他們。看啊，我必因你們的惡行而懲罰你們。這是耶和華說的。

耶和華說：「不錯。因為有災禍要從北方降臨到這地方的一切居民。

所以今天我向你們聲明，將來你們有誰滅亡，與我無關。因為上帝的整個計劃，我沒有向你們避而不宣。你們要為自己，也要為教會的群羊警醒，因為聖靈已經任命你們做群羊的監督，牧養上帝的教會。教會是主用自己的血贖回來的。我知道，在我離開以後，一定會有兇惡的豺狼闖進你們中間，殘害羊群。

聽啊，有消息傳來，喧囂的敵軍從北方衝來，要使猶大的城邑荒涼，淪為豺狼的巢穴。

如果你們因為驕傲而不肯聽，我會暗自哭泣、淚流滿面，因為耶和華的子民將要被擄。

因為我要使一位牧人在地上興起，他不照顧喪亡的，不尋找失散的，不醫治受傷的，不牧養健壯的，反而吃肥羊的肉，撕掉牠們的蹄子。丟棄羊群的無用牧人有禍了！願刀砍在他的臂膀和右眼上！願他的臂膀徹底枯槁，他的右眼完全失明！」

田野和林中的走獸啊，來吞吃吧！以色列的守望者瞎眼無知，是不會叫的啞巴狗，只喜歡躺下睡覺做夢。這些人就像貪吃的狗，不知飽足，又像什麼都不懂的牧人，人人各行其是，追求自己的利益。他們說：「來吧，我去拿酒，讓我們喝個痛快！明天會跟今天一樣，甚至更豐盛。」

「『所以，你們這些牧人啊，要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華說，我憑我的永恆起誓，我必懲罰你們。因為我的羊沒有牧人，以致淪為所有野獸的食物。我的牧人不去尋找我的羊，他們只餵養自己，不餵養我的羊。你們這些牧人啊，要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華說，我要攻擊這些牧人，從他們手中討回我的羊，不再讓他們牧放羊群，使他們無法再餵養自己。我要從他們口中奪回我的羊，不再讓羊成為他們的食物。

如果是僱工，不是牧人，羊也不是他的，狼一來，他必撇下羊逃命。狼就會抓住羊，把羊群驅散。他逃走，因為他是僱工，並不在乎羊。
