Give glory to the Lord your God before he brings the darkness, before your feet stumble on the darkening hills. You hope for light, but he will turn it to utter darkness and change it to deep gloom.

Give glory to the Lord your God. Honor him before he sends darkness to cover the land. Do this before you trip and fall on the darkened hills. You hope that light will come. But he will turn it into thick darkness. He will change it to deep shadows.

他们仰脸向天观望，又俯视大地，只见困苦、黑暗、可怕的幽暗；他们必被赶入幽黑的黑暗中。

但你竟在野狗之地把我们压伤了，又以死亡的阴影笼罩我们。

所以你们要做痔疮的像和毁坏田地的老鼠的像，还要把荣耀归给以色列的神。也许他会向你们、你们的神和你们的田地手下留情。

“到那日，这是耶和华的宣告：我必使太阳在正午落下，在白昼使地变成昏暗。“我必使你们欢乐的节期变为悲哀的日子，把你们的歌声都变为哀哭。我必使你们各人腰束麻带，头都剃光了；我必使你们悲哀，好像丧了独生子，自始至终都是痛苦的。

列国的万族啊！你们要归给耶和华，要把荣耀和能力归给耶和华。要把耶和华的名当得的荣耀归给他，带着礼物进入他的院子。

“因此，他们的路必像滑地；他们必被赶逐到黑暗中，必在那里仆倒。因为到了惩罚他们的年日，我必使灾祸临到他们。”这是耶和华的宣告。

耶和华对摩西说：“你要向天举手，使黑暗临到埃及地，这黑暗是可以触摸的。”

在你壮年的日子，当记念你的创造主。不要等到衰败的日子，就是你所说：“我毫无喜乐”的那些年日临到，日头、光明、月亮、星宿变暗，雨后乌云再现的时候。

我观看地，地是空虚混沌；我仰视天，天上也全然无光。

我们期待平安，却得不到好处；期待得医治的时候，不料，只有惊慌。

它又“作了绊脚的石头，使人跌倒的磐石。”他们跌倒是因为不顺从这道，他们这样是必然的。

我们徒然等待帮助，等到双目失去视力；我们在瞭望台上期望一个不能拯救我们的国家来临。

人无论多长寿，都当乐在其中，不过他要想到黑暗的日子，因为这些日子将会很多；要来的，都是虚空的。

耶稣说：“光在你们中间的时间不多了。你们应当趁着有光的时候行走，免得黑暗追上你们。在黑暗中行走的人，不知道往哪里去。

你真的弃绝犹大吗？你真的讨厌锡安吗？你为什么击打我们，使我们无法医治呢？我们期待平安，却得不到好处；期待得医治的时候，不料，只有惊慌。
