惡民不聽我言、輒自縱恣、崇奉他上帝、服事崇拜之、必使之無益、有如此帶。

此惡劣之民、不願聽我言、放縱情欲、剛愎自用、妄從他神、服事崇拜之、必將似此無用之帶然、

These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt— completely useless!

These people are evil. They refuse to listen to what I say. They do what their stubborn hearts want them to do. They chase after other gods. They serve them and worship them. So they will be like this belt. They will be completely useless.

This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who stubbornly follow their own heart and have gone after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be like this loincloth, which is good for nothing.

These wicked people refuse to listen to me. They stubbornly follow their own desires and worship other gods. Therefore, they will become like this loincloth— good for nothing!

These evil people, who refuse to listen to me, who follow the stubbornness of their own hearts, and who have followed other gods to serve and bow in worship— they will be like this underwear, of no use at all.

This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have followed other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this undergarment which is completely useless.

This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, who follow the dictates of their hearts, and walk after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be just like this sash which is profitable for nothing.

This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

These wicked people refuse to obey what I have said. They follow the stubborn inclinations of their own hearts and pay allegiance to other gods by worshiping and serving them. So they will become just like these linen shorts which are good for nothing.

This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and have gone after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, will even be as this belt, which is profitable for nothing.

可是，你們的行為比他們更邪惡，一意孤行，不聽從我。

他們祖先的上帝耶和華因為憐愛祂的子民和祂的居所，就不斷派使者來勸告他們。他們卻嘲弄耶和華上帝的使者，藐視祂的話，嘲笑祂的先知，以致祂的憤怒臨到祂的子民身上，無可挽救。

耶和華對摩西說：「這些人藐視我要到何時呢？我在他們中間行了這麼多神蹟，他們仍然不相信我。

執迷不悟，隨從他們祖先的教導去供奉巴力。」

我就去幼發拉底河邊把所藏的腰帶挖出來，但腰帶已經腐爛，不能用了。

因為自從我把你們祖先從埃及領出來的那天起，一直到今天，我一再勸誡他們要聽從我的話。然而，他們卻不聽不理，人人憑自己頑固的惡念行事。因此，我要使約中的一切咒詛臨到他們，因為我吩咐他們遵守這約，他們卻拒絕遵守。」

那時，耶路撒冷會被稱為『耶和華的寶座』，萬國都要聚集在耶路撒冷敬拜耶和華，不再執迷不悟地作惡。

為什麼耶路撒冷的居民一味地背叛我？他們詭詐成性，不肯回頭。

年輕人啊，在年輕時要快樂，要在青春歲月裡使自己的心歡暢。心裡想做什麼就去做，眼睛想看什麼就去看。然而，要切記：上帝必照你所行的一切審判你。

「從猶大王亞們的兒子約西亞執政第十三年，到今天已有二十三年。在這期間，我不斷把耶和華對我說的話傳給你們，你們卻充耳不聞。耶和華屢次差遣祂的僕人——眾先知警告你們，你們卻充耳不聞，毫不理會。他們對你們說，『要改邪歸正，停止作惡，以便可以永遠住在耶和華賜給你們和你們祖先的土地上。不要隨從、供奉、祭拜其他神明，不要製造神像惹耶和華發怒，免得祂懲罰你們。』」耶和華說：「然而，你們不聽我的話，製造神像惹我發怒，自招懲罰。」

耶和華對我說：「就算摩西和撒母耳站在我面前求情，我也不會憐憫這些百姓。你把他們從我面前趕走吧！如果他們問你，『我們該去哪裡，』你就告訴他們，耶和華這樣說，『該死的死，該被殺的被殺，該遭饑荒的遭饑荒，該被擄的被擄。』「我要讓他們遭受四種禍患——刀殺、狗撕、鳥啄、獸吞。這是耶和華說的。因為猶大王希西迦的兒子瑪拿西在耶路撒冷的所作所為，我要使他們的遭遇令天下萬國驚懼。

「你們這些頑固不化、耳不聽心不悔的人，經常抗拒聖靈，所作所為和你們的祖先如出一轍！

也不會像自己的祖先那樣頑梗叛逆，對上帝不忠，心懷二意。

但你們這些人頑固不化，悖逆成性。你們離我而去。

『他們必死於惡疾，無人哀悼，無人埋葬，他們好像地上的糞便。他們必死於戰爭和饑荒，屍首必成為飛鳥和走獸的食物。』」

倘若你們的希伯來同胞賣身做你們的奴隸，服侍你們六年後，到第七年你們要給他們自由。你們的祖先卻掩耳不聽。不久前，你們回心轉意，做我視為正的事，釋放自己的同胞，並且在我的殿中立了約。然而，你們卻反悔，各自抓回先前釋放的奴隸，再次奴役他們，褻瀆了我的名。因此耶和華說，既然你們不聽我的話，不給自己的同胞自由，看啊，我必使你們自由地死在戰爭、瘟疫和饑荒中，使你們的遭遇令天下萬國驚懼。這是耶和華說的。

你們必須謹慎，切勿拒絕對你們說話的上帝。因為以色列人違背了在地上警戒他們的人，尚且逃脫不了懲罰，何況我們違背從天上警戒我們的上帝呢？

有人想謀害我，耶和華告訴了我，並讓我看見他們的所作所為。

因此，我奉主的名鄭重地勸告各位，不要再像不信的外族人一樣過著心靈空虛的日子。他們因為愚昧無知，頑固不化，理智受到蒙蔽，與上帝所賜的生命隔絕了。他們喪盡天良，放縱情慾，沉溺於各種污穢的事。

她們的香氣將變成臭味，腰帶將變成繩子，美髮將變成禿頭，華服將變成麻衣，美麗的容顏將佈滿羞辱的烙印。

他們卻掩耳不聽，一意孤行，任意行惡，越來越壞。從你們的祖先離開埃及那天起，一直到今天，我日復一日地差遣我的僕人——眾先知到你們那裡，但你們掩耳不聽，頑固不化，比你們的祖先更邪惡。耶利米啊，你將這番話告訴他們，他們也不會聽；你向他們呼籲，他們也不會回應。你要對他們說，『你們這些國民不聽你們上帝耶和華的話，不肯受管教，口中毫無真理。
