人居斯土、作惡無厭、自謂上帝不加彰癉、故邦國愁慘。土產槁枯、禽獸死亡、伊於何底。

斯地哀慘、田野之草枯槁、將至何時、緣斯地居民之惡、走獸飛禽盡滅、彼猶自言曰、我終局若何、彼耶利米必不得見、

How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished. Moreover, the people are saying,“ He will not see what happens to us.”

How long will the land be thirsty for water? How long will the grass in every field be dry? The people who live in the land are evil. So the animals and birds have died. And that’s not all. The people are saying,“ The Lord won’t see what happens to us.”

How long will the land mourn and the grass of every field wither? For the evil of those who dwell in it the beasts and the birds are swept away, because they said,“ He will not see our latter end.”

How long must this land mourn? Even the grass in the fields has withered. The wild animals and birds have disappeared because of the evil in the land. For the people have said,“ The Lord doesn’t see what’s ahead for us!”

How long will the land mourn and the grass of every field wither? Because of the evil of its residents, animals and birds have been swept away, for the people have said,“ He cannot see what our end will be.”

How long is the land to mourn, And the vegetation of the countryside to dry up? Due to the wickedness of those who live in it, Animals and birds have been snatched away, Because people have said,“ He will not see our final end.”

How long will the land mourn, And the herbs of every field wither? The beasts and birds are consumed, For the wickedness of those who dwell there, Because they said,“ He will not see our final end.”

How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole country wither? for the wickedness of them that dwell therein, the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our latter end.

How long will the land mourn and the grass of every field wither? Because of the evil of its residents, animals and birds have been swept away, for the people have said,“ He cannot see what our end will be.”

『為了山嶺、你們要哭泣舉哀，為了野地的草場、你們要揚聲唱哀歌；因為都已倒壞，無人經過；牲畜的聲音都聽不到；無論空中的飛鳥、以至地上走獸、全都逃跑了。』

我觀看，啊，沒有人；空中的飛鳥也都逃掉。

因此這地悲哀，其中所有的居民都必衰萎，連田野走獸空中飛鳥也必萎靡不振；就是海中的魚也必被收盡。

我們知道、所有被創造之物都一同歎息，同受產難，直到如今。

因為遍地充滿了行姦淫的人；因受咒詛，地就悲哀，曠野的草場都枯乾了。他們行的路程乃是壞的，他們的勇力使得不對。

他使多結果實之地變為鹹地；都因其間居民的邪惡。

因此主永恆主這麼說：看吧，我的怒氣我的烈怒必倒在這地方、倒在人和牲口身上、倒在田野的樹木和地土的果實上；怒火必着起來，不能熄滅。』

就是神言人們以虛假傳神言，祭司們仗着他們的手法來掌權柄；我的人民竟喜愛這樣；到了結局、你們要怎樣行呢？

田野毁壞，土地悲哀；因為五穀毁壞，新酒池令人失望，新油衰萎不繼。耕地的人很失望，修理葡萄園的哀號着，為了大麥小麥而悲哀；因為田間的莊稼都壞掉了。葡萄樹令人失望，無花果樹衰萎凋殘；石榴樹、及棕樹、蘋果樹、田野所有的樹木都枯乾了：唉，歡躍之樂也令人失望而不在人間了。祭司啊，腰束麻布而慟哭吧！伺候祭壇的啊，哀號哦！伺候我的上帝的啊，披着麻布進殿去過夜吧！因為素祭和奠祭都從你們的上帝殿中停止了。要行聖禮擬定禁食，宣告聖節會哦；要聚集眾長老、國中一切居民到你們的上帝永恆主的殿，向永恆主哀呼哦。有禍啊那日！因為永恆主的日子臨近了，就像毁滅出於毁滅者。糧食不是在我們眼前斷絕了麼？歡喜快樂不是從我們的上帝殿中止息了麼？穀種在耙子底下都萎縮了；倉房淒涼，廩室翻毁，因為五穀令人失望了。

就使無花果樹不結果子，葡萄樹上無出產，橄欖樹的農作物令人失望，田地又不出糧食，羊從羊圈中被剪除，牛棚內也沒有牛，

神言人必成了風；主的話並不在他們裏面；他們所遭受的、必是這樣。」』

你行了這些事，我緘不作聲；你想我和你一樣。其實我要責備你，要將這些事擺在你眼前呢。

因此地必悲哀，上面的天也必黑暗；因為我已經說出，必不後悔；我已經定意，必不轉回。』

『人子啊，主永恆主對以色列地這麼說：結局哦！結局臨到這地的四境了！現在結局已經臨到你了！我必發怒攻擊你；按你的行徑判罰你，將你一切可厭惡的事還報與你。我的眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你；我卻要將你所行的還報與你；而你可厭惡之事的報應必在你中間；你就知道我乃是永恆主。『主永恆主這麼說：災禍！獨一的災禍！看吧！就來到了！結局到了！那結局到了！它醒了起來攻擊你；看吧！就來到了！境內的居民哪，所定的災禍臨到你了！時候到了！日子近了！是鬨嚷擾亂，並不是山上歡呼的日子。如今我快要將我的烈怒傾倒在你身上，向你發盡我的怒氣，按你的行徑判罰你，將你一切可厭惡的事還報與你了。我的眼必不顧惜，我必不可憐；我卻要將你所行的還報與你；而你可厭惡之事的報應必在你中間；你就知道我乃是永恆主。永恆主這麼說：『看哪，日子！看哪，到了！所定的災禍已經發出；「枉法」開了花了，驕橫發了芽了。強暴興起，成了邪惡之杖；他們之中沒有一樣存着；他們的羣眾沒有了，他們的財寶沒有了；他們中間也沒有出類拔萃之可言了。時候到了，日子近了。買的人不必歡喜，賣的人也不必憂愁，因為永恆主的烈怒已臨到所有的蜂擁羣眾。賣的人儘他們活着的時候，總不能返回再得所賣的，因為永恆主的烈怒已臨到所有的蜂擁羣眾；它必不返回：沒有人在他的罪罰中能保持得住他的性命。

『猶大悲哀，她的城門衰敗，人都披上黑衣坐在地上哀悼；耶路撒冷的哀號聲直往上升。
