你撒种，却不得收割；踹橄榄，却不得油抹身；有新酒，却不得酒喝。

你们撒的种多，收的却少；你们吃，却不得饱；喝，却不得足；穿衣服，却不得暖；领工钱的，领了工钱却装入有破洞的袋中。

你撒在田里的种子虽多，收的却少，因为蝗虫把它吃光了。

我就要这样对待你们：我必使惊惶临到你们，使你们患痨病，害热病，以致眼睛失明，身体衰弱。你们要白白撒种，因为仇敌要吃尽你们所种的。

你们为何花钱买那不是食物的东西，用劳碌得来的买那无法使人饱足的呢？你们要留意听从我的话，就能吃那美物，得享肥甘，心中喜乐。

看哪，这不都是出于万军之耶和华吗？万民劳碌得来的被火焚烧，万族辛苦建造的，归于虚空。

我观看，看哪，肥田变为荒地；所有城镇在耶和华面前，因他的烈怒都被拆毁。

因耶和华猛烈的怒气，平安的羊圈都被肃清。他像狮子离开洞穴，他们的地因凶猛的怒气和他强烈的怒气，都变为荒凉。”

那么，你们现在所看为羞耻的事，当时有什么果子呢？那些事的结局就是死。

耶和华说：“祸哉！这悖逆的儿女。他们同谋，却不出于我，结盟，却不出于我的灵，以致罪上加罪。他们没有寻求我的指示，就起身下埃及去，要倚靠法老的庇护坚固自己，并投在埃及的荫下。但法老的庇护反成为你们的羞辱；你们投在埃及荫下，反使你们惭愧。他们的领袖已在琐安，他们的使臣到了哈内斯。他们必因那无益于他们的民蒙羞；那民并非帮助，也非有益，只带来羞耻和凌辱。”论尼革夫牲畜的默示。他们将财物驮在驴背上，将宝物驮在骆驼的背脊，经过艰难困苦之地，就是母狮、公狮、毒蛇、飞蛇之地，往那无益于他们的民那里去。

那时你们怎么了？有人来到二十斗的谷堆那里，却只得了十斗；有人来到酒池那里要取五十桶，却只得了二十桶。我以焚风、霉烂、冰雹攻击你们，和你们手上的各样工作，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。

从小山来的真是枉然，大山的喧嚷也是枉然。以色列得救，诚然在乎耶和华—我们的上帝。“从我们幼年以来，那可耻之物吞吃了我们祖先劳碌得来的，就是他们的羊群、牛群和他们的儿女。我们在羞耻中躺卧吧！愿惭愧将我们遮盖！因为从我们幼年以来，我们和我们的祖先都得罪了耶和华—我们的上帝，没有听从耶和华—我们上帝的话。”

祸哉！那些下埃及求帮助的，他们仰赖马匹，倚靠甚多的战车，并倚靠强壮的骑兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华。其实，耶和华有智慧，他降灾祸，并不撤回自己的话，却要兴起攻击作恶之家，攻击那帮助人作恶的。埃及人不过是人，并非上帝，他们的马不过是血肉，并不是灵。耶和华一伸手，那帮助人的必绊跌，受帮助的也必跌倒，都一同灭亡。
