All her gates are desolate; Her priests sigh, Her virgins are afflicted, And she is in bitterness.Her adversaries have become the master, Her enemies prosper; For the Lord has afflicted her Because of the multitude of her transgressions. Her children have gone into captivity before the enemy.

Be instructed, O Jerusalem, Lest My soul depart from you; Lest I make you desolate, A land not inhabited.”

If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,” Says the Lord of hosts,“ I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.
