Because the Lord revealed their plot to me, I knew it, for at that time he showed me what they were doing.

The Lord told me about the evil plans of my enemies. That’s how I knew about them. He showed me what they were doing.

The Lord made it known to me and I knew; then you showed me their deeds.

Then the Lord told me about the plots my enemies were making against me.

But thou shalt again see yet other great abominations.And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold, a door.And he said unto me, Go in, and see the wicked abominations that they do here.So I went in and saw; and behold, every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel; and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, every man with his censer in his hand; and the odor of the cloud of incense went up.Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his chambers of imagery? for they say, Jehovah seeth us not; Jehovah hath forsaken the land.He said also unto me, Thou shalt again see yet other great abominations which they do.Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Jehovah’s house which was toward the north; and behold, there sat the women weeping for Tammuz.Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? thou shalt again see yet greater abominations than these.And he brought me into the inner court of Jehovah’s house; and behold, at the door of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah, and their faces toward the east; and they were worshipping the sun toward the east.Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.Therefore will I also deal in wrath; mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.

But if the truth of God through my lie abounded unto his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?

Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, a host with horses and chariots was round about the city. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?And he answered, Fear not; for they that are with us are more than they that are with them.And Elisha prayed, and said, Jehovah, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto Jehovah, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. And he led them to Samaria.And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Jehovah, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And Jehovah opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.

But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

And if any one say aught unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
