呼木偶曰、醒歟、呼不能言之石像曰、起歟、斯人禍矣、偶像豈能應應或作垂訓乎、俱飾以金銀者、其中無生氣、其中無生氣或作不通呼吸

彼勒顛蹶、尼波傾仆、其像為獸為畜所負、爾素所舁者、必載於困憊之牲畜、

既得權、在獸前行異跡、遂誘惑居於地之人、使之為見傷於刃而尚活之獸作像、並有權使獸像有生氣、使獸像能言、且能使不拜獸像者見殺、

論及食祭偶像之物、我儕知偶像在世間為虛無、亦知天主獨一無他、

有口不能言、有目不能視、有耳不能聞、且口無呼吸之氣、造之者與賴之者皆與之無異、

爾自列邦得脫者、俱集而至、同就以聽斯言、惟彼攜其木偶、禱不能施救之神者、悉屬無知、

作偶像者悉為虛妄、其所慕者無益、可自為證、彼不見不知、必致羞愧、誰作神像、鑄無益之偶像、
