My tent is destroyed; all its ropes are snapped. My children are gone from me and are no more; no one is left now to pitch my tent or to set up my shelter.

Jerusalem is like a tent that has been destroyed. All its ropes have snapped. My people have gone away from me. Now no one is left to set up my tent. I have no one to set up my shelter.

My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken; my children have gone from me, and they are not; there is no one to spread my tent again and to set up my curtains.

My home is gone, and no one is left to help me rebuild it. My children have been taken away, and I will never see them again.

毀滅的消息頻傳，因為全國盡都毀壞，我的帳棚忽然毀壞，我的幔子轉瞬破裂。

耶和華這樣說：“在拉瑪聽見有聲音，是痛哭哀號的聲音；拉結為她的兒女哀哭，不肯受安慰，因為他們都不在了。”

要擴張你帳幕的地方，伸展你居所的幔子，不要限制；要拉長你的繩索，堅固你的橛子。

看我的，他的眼再也看不到我，你的眼要看我，我已經不在了。

錫安的敵人成為主人；她的仇敵亨通。因為她的過犯眾多，耶和華就使她受苦。她的孩童在敵人面前被擄去。

惡人傾覆，就不再存在；義人的家卻必站立得住。

我把我的話放在你的口裡，用我的手影蔽護你，好立定諸天，奠定大地的根基，對錫安說：‘你是我的子民。’”

他像仇敵拉弓，他的右手已經預備好。他像敵人把一切悅人眼目的都殺滅了；他如火的忿怒倒在錫安居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）的帳棚上。主好像成了仇敵；他吞滅了以色列和她所有的宮殿，毀壞了她的堅固城。他在猶大居民的中間，增添了悲哀和哭號。他把自己的住所破壞，好像園子一樣；他毀壞了屬他的聚會之處。耶和華使節期和安息日都在錫安被忘記；他在他的盛怒中棄絕了君王和祭司。

你喪子以後所生的兒女還要說給你聽，說：‘這地方給我居住太狹窄了；求你給我預備地方居住吧！’那時你心裡必說：‘我既喪子，又不能生育；我是被擄的，又是被放逐在外的，誰給我生了這些孩子呢？誰把這些孩子養大呢？看哪！我獨自一人被撇下，這些孩子是從哪裡來的呢？’”主耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我必向列國舉手，我要向萬民豎立我的旗幟；他們要把你的兒子都抱在懷中帶來，把你的女兒都放在肩上背來。
