勿效尤異邦、上天垂象、異邦人所深畏、爾勿畏之、

主如是云、勿傚異邦人之習俗、異邦人雖因天象之兆畏懼、爾勿畏懼、

The LORD says,“ Do not start following pagan religious practices. Do not be in awe of signs that occur in the sky even though the nations hold them in awe.

Yahweh says,“ Don’t learn the way of the nations, and don’t be dismayed at the signs of the sky; for the nations are dismayed at them.

我从你们面前逐出的各民族，你们不可随从他们的风俗；因为他们行了这一切事，所以我厌恶他们。

“日月星辰将有异兆；在地上，各国也要因着海洋波涛的咆哮而困苦不安。天上的万象震动，人因为等待即将临到世界的事，都吓昏了。那时，他们要看见人子，带着能力，满有荣耀，驾着云降临。一有这些事，你们就当挺身昂首，因为你们的救赎近了。”

你们从前住过的埃及地，那里的居民的行为，你们不可随从；我要领你们到的迦南地，那里的居民的行为，你们也不可仿效。你们不可跟随他们的风俗行。

继续使用你从幼年时就劳碌施行的符咒和许多的邪术吧！或者你可以得到益处，也许你能叫人战栗。你因你许多的计划而劳累；现在让那些划分天象的，观看星辰的，在月朔时说预言的，都站起来，拯救你脱离要临到你身上的事。看哪！他们必像碎秸，火必要焚烧他们；他们不能救自己脱离火焰的威力；这不是可以烤火取暖的火炭，也不是可以坐在它面前的火。

你们说：我们要像列国的人，像列邦的各族一样去事奉木头和石头。你们心里所起的这意念，必不能成就。

那时，你要自己谨慎，不可在他们从你的面前被消灭以后，随从他们的恶俗而陷入网罗，也不可求问他们的神，说：‘这些国的人怎样事奉他们的神，我也要这样行。’你不可向耶和华你的神这样行，因为耶和华恨恶的一切可厌恶的事，他们都向他们的神行了，甚至把自己的儿女用火焚烧，献给他们的神。
