Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must give them a warning from me.When I say to the wicked,“ You will certainly die,” and you do not warn him– you do not speak out to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked deed and wicked lifestyle so that he may live– that wicked person will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.

Therefore, get your minds ready for action by being fully sober, and set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Let the prophet who has had a dream go ahead and tell his dream. Let the person who has received my message report that message faithfully. What is like straw cannot compare to what is like grain! I, the LORD, affirm it!

You are to speak everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh that he must release the Israelites from his land.

“ Get dressed for service and keep your lamps burning;

Get ready for a difficult task like a man; I will question you and you will inform me!

He replied,“ Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God on this mountain.”

“ Go immediately to Nineveh, that large city, and proclaim to it the message that I tell you.”

Elisha told Gehazi,“ Tuck your robes into your belt, take my staff, and go! Don’t stop to exchange greetings with anyone! Place my staff on the child’s face.”

For I did not hold back from announcing to you the whole purpose of God.
