It will happen that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,” says Yahweh.

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds,throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

who confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; who says of Jerusalem,‘ She will be inhabited;’ and of the cities of Judah,‘ They will be built,’ and‘ I will raise up its waste places;’who says to the deep,‘ Be dry,’ and‘ I will dry up your rivers;’Who says of Cyrus,‘ He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure,’ even saying of Jerusalem,‘ She will be built;’ and of the temple,‘ Your foundation will be laid.’”

I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands, standing before the Lord of the earth.If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way.These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

I will build you again, and you will be built, O virgin of Israel. You will again be adorned with your tambourines, and will go out in the dances of those who make merry.Again you will plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria. The planters will plant, and will enjoy its fruit.

Then the nations that are left around you will know that I, Yahweh, have built the ruined places, and planted that which was desolate. I, Yahweh, have spoken it, and I will do it.”

“ Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her and the daughters of the famous nations, to the lower parts of the earth, with those who go down into the pit.

In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen, and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;

For I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land. I will build them, and not pull them down. I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to me:“ Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.They will drink, and reel back and forth, and be insane, because of the sword that I will send among them.”Then I took the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, with its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is today;Pharaoh king of Egypt, with his servants, his princes, and all his people;and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;Edom, Moab, and the children of Ammon;and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;and all the kings of Arabia, all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;and all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth. The king of Sheshach will drink after them.“ You shall tell them,‘ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says:“ Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.”’

Yahweh says to me:“ Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck.Then send them to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the children of Ammon, to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.Give them a command to their masters, saying,‘ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says,“ You shall tell your masters:‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. I have also given the animals of the field to him to serve him.All the nations will serve him, his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings will make him their bondservant.

Yahweh’s word which came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh Necoh king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah.“ Prepare the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle!Harness the horses, and get up, you horsemen, and stand up with your helmets. Polish the spears, put on the coats of mail.Why have I seen it? They are dismayed and are turned backward. Their mighty ones are beaten down, have fled in haste, and don’t look back. Terror is on every side,” says Yahweh.“ Don’t let the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape. In the north by the river Euphrates they have stumbled and fallen.“ Who is this who rises up like the Nile, whose waters toss themselves like the rivers?Egypt rises up like the Nile, and his waters toss themselves like the rivers. The sword will devour and be satiated, and will drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.Go up into Gilead, and take balm, virgin daughter of Egypt. You use many medicines in vain. There is no healing for you.The nations have heard of your shame, and the earth is full of your cry; for the mighty man has stumbled against the mighty, they both fall together.”The word that Yahweh spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, how that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon should come and strike the land of Egypt.“ Declare in Egypt, publish in Migdol, and publish in Memphis and in Tahpanhes: say,‘ Stand up, and prepare; for the sword has devoured around you.’Why are your strong ones swept away? They didn’t stand, because Yahweh pushed them.He made many to stumble. Yes, they fell on one another. They said,‘ Arise! Let’s go again to our own people, and to the land of our birth, from the oppressing sword.’They cried there,‘ Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he has let the appointed time pass by.’“ As I live,” says the King, whose name is Yahweh of Armies,“ surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so he will come.You daughter who dwells in Egypt, furnish yourself to go into captivity; for Memphis will become a desolation, and will be burned up, without inhabitant.“ Egypt is a very beautiful heifer; but destruction out of the north has come. It has come.Also her hired men in the middle of her are like calves of the stall; for they also are turned back. They have fled away together. They didn’t stand, for the day of their calamity has come on them, the time of their visitation.Its sound will go like the serpent; for they will march with an army, and come against her with axes, as wood cutters.They will cut down her forest,” says Yahweh,“ though it can’t be searched; because they are more than the locusts, and are innumerable.The daughter of Egypt will be disappointed; she will be delivered into the hand of the people of the north.”Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says:“ Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with her gods, and her kings; even Pharaoh, and those who trust in him.I will deliver them into the hand of those who seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants. Afterwards it will be inhabited, as in the days of old,” says Yahweh.“ But don’t you be afraid, Jacob my servant. Don’t be dismayed, Israel; for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return, and will be quiet and at ease. No one will make him afraid.Don’t be afraid, O Jacob my servant,” says Yahweh;“ for I am with you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you; but I will not make a full end of you, but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.”

At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy it;if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to them.At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;if they do that which is evil in my sight, that they not obey my voice, then I will repent of the good with which I said I would benefit them.

But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, didn’t they overtake your fathers?“ Then they repented and said,‘ Just as Yahweh of Armies determined to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.’”

Surely the Lord Yahweh will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.

It was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.

I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse, and against his army.The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.The rest were killed with the sword of him who sat on the horse, the sword which came out of his mouth. All the birds were filled with their flesh.

He who escapes from the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and he who escapes from the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.

Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”
