Just as I watched over them to uproot and to tear them down, to demolish and to destroy, and to cause disaster, so will I watch over them to build and to plant them”— this is the LORD’s declaration.

since the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish argumentsand every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.

who confirms the message of his servant and fulfills the counsel of his messengers; who says to Jerusalem,“ She will be inhabited,” and to the cities of Judah,“ They will be rebuilt,” and I will restore her ruins;who says to the depths of the sea,“ Be dry,” and I will dry up your rivers;who says to Cyrus,“ My shepherd, he will fulfill all my pleasure” and says to Jerusalem,“ She will be rebuilt,” and of the temple,“ Its foundation will be laid.”

I will grant my two witnesses authority to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.”These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.If anyone wants to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies; if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.They have authority to close up the sky so that it does not rain during the days of their prophecy. Finally, the king of Sheshak will drink after them.“ Then you are to say to them,‘ This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk, and vomit. Fall down and never get up again, as a result of the sword I am sending among you.’

This is the word of the LORD that came to the prophet Jeremiah about the nations:About Egypt and the army of Pharaoh Neco, Egypt’s king, which was defeated at Carchemish on the Euphrates River by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in the fourth year of Judah’s King Jehoiakim son of Josiah:Deploy small shields and large; approach for battle!Harness the horses; mount the steeds; take your positions with helmets on! I will bring destruction on all the nations where I have banished you, but I will not bring destruction on you. I will discipline you with justice, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.

At one moment I might announce concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will uproot, tear down, and destroy it.However, if that nation about which I have made the announcement turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the disaster I had planned to do to it.At another time I might announce concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will build and plant it.However, if it does what is evil in my sight by not listening to me, I will relent concerning the good I had said I would do to it.

But didn’t my words and my statutes that I commanded my servants the prophets overtake your ancestors?’” So the people repented and said,“ As the LORD of Armies decided to deal with us for our ways and our deeds, so he has dealt with us.”

Indeed, the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his counsel to his servants the prophets.

The vision I saw was like the one I had seen when he came to destroy the city, and like the ones I had seen by the Chebar Canal. I fell facedown.
