When Jotham was told about this, he climbed up on the top of Mount Gerizim and shouted to them,“ Listen to me, citizens of Shechem, so that God may listen to you.

Jotham was told about it. So he climbed up on top of Mount Gerizim. He shouted down to them,“ Citizens of Shechem! Listen to me! Then God will listen to you.

When it was told to Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim and cried aloud and said to them,“ Listen to me, you leaders of Shechem, that God may listen to you.

When Jotham heard about this, he climbed to the top of Mount Gerizim and shouted,“ Listen to me, citizens of Shechem! Listen to me if you want God to listen to you!

When they told Jotham, he climbed to the top of Mount Gerizim, raised his voice, and called to them: Listen to me, citizens of Shechem, and may God listen to you:

When Jotham heard the news, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim. He spoke loudly to the people below,“ Listen to me, leaders of Shechem, so that God may listen to you!

我所喜悅的禁食，難道不是以下這樣嗎？鬆開邪惡的鎖鏈，解開軛上的繩索，使被壓迫的人得自由，折斷一切的軛，把你的糧食分給飢餓的人，把流浪的困苦人接到家中，見到赤身的人就給他衣服穿，不迴避有需要的骨肉之親。如果你這樣做，你的光就必噴薄而出，如同黎明的光；你也必速速康復；你的公義必行在你前面，耶和華的榮耀必作你的後盾；那時你呼求，耶和華必回應；你呼救，他必說：『我在這裡。』如果你除去你當中的軛，除去對人的指摘和惡毒的言談；如果你為飢餓的人獻上身心，使困苦的人身心滿足；那麼，你的光就必在黑暗中升起，你的幽暗必明如正午；

在患難的日子裡，你當呼求我，我必搭救你，而你將榮耀我。」但神對惡人說：「你憑什麼講述我的律例，口中提起我的約呢？實際上，你恨惡管教，把我的話語丟在身後。你看見竊賊時，就喜悅與他在一起，你又與通姦的人一同有份。你讓你的口發出惡言，讓你的舌編造謊話。你坐著說話攻擊你的弟兄，毀謗你母親的兒子。你做了這些，我還保持沉默；你就以為我完全像你一樣；其實我要責備你，並且把這些擺列在你眼前。

要知道，那不施憐憫的人，要受毫無憐憫的審判；憐憫勝過審判。

「那奴僕就俯伏拜他，說：『請寬容我吧，將來我會把一切償還給你。』那奴僕的主人動了憐憫之心，把他釋放了，並且免了他的債。「但那奴僕出去以後，遇見一個與他同做奴僕的；這人欠他一百個銀幣。他就抓住這人，掐住這人的喉嚨，說：『把欠我的還給我。』「這人就俯伏在地央求他，說：『請寬容我吧，我會還給你的。』可是他不肯，反而把這人投進監獄，直到這人能還清所欠的債。那些與他同做奴僕的看見所發生的事，就極其憂傷，去把一切都告訴他們的主人。「於是主人把那奴僕叫來，對他說：『你這惡奴！因為你求我，我就免了你所有的債。難道你不也該憐憫與你同做奴僕的，像我憐憫了你一樣嗎？』主人就發怒，把他交給掌刑官，直到他能還清所欠的一切債。

那時，他們將呼求我，我卻不回應；他們將切切尋找我，卻找不到。正是因為他們恨惡知識，沒有選擇敬畏耶和華，

轉耳不聽從律法的，連他的禱告也可憎。

塞耳不聽貧弱者哀聲的，他自己呼求時也得不到回應。

你們伸開雙手禱告的時候，我必掩目不看你們；就算你們多多禱告，我也不垂聽。你們的雙手沾滿了血！

你使我的仇敵在我面前轉身而逃，我把那些恨我的人除盡。他們呼救，卻沒有人拯救；他們向耶和華呼救，他也不回應。
