恶人夸耀心中的欲望，他称赞贪财的人，却藐视耶和华（“他称赞贪财的人，却藐视耶和华”或译：“贪财的人谤渎耶和华，并藐视他”）。

以色列王回答说：“你们去告诉他，佩戴武器的人，不可像解除武器的那样自夸。”
