God stirred up animosity between Abimelek and the citizens of Shechem so that they acted treacherously against Abimelek.

人不虐爾、而爾虐人、人不誣爾、而爾誣人、禍將及矣、爾以誣虐施諸人、則人待爾亦若是、

耶和華賦埃及以昏昧之心、使之行事舛錯、若醉者哇吐、跬步不能自主。

萬有之主耶和華曰、我必使埃及人、兄弟友朋、城邑邦國、互相攻擊、埃及人必喪厥膽、其謀為我所敗、彼雖求偶像、為神所憑者、以及巫覡之輩、亦必委之於殘忍之主、暴虐之君。

曰誘之若何。曰、我將感其先知、胥動以浮言。曰、往哉、行此、爾必誘之、以成爾志。今有神感爾之先知、使之浮言、耶和華聽之。然耶和華有言、必降災於王。

耶和華之神離掃羅、乃使惡神擾之。其僕曰、上帝使惡神擾爾、盍命侍臣、求善鼓琴者、迨惡神臨爾之時、鼓琴則愈。

爾度人若何、則見度亦如是、

王不順輿情、乃耶和華使之、以應所命示羅人亞希雅、告尼八子耶羅破暗之言。

耶和華曰、誰能誘亞哈、使往基列之喇末、殞沒其命。眾天使所陳之詞不一。有神越班而出、侍耶和華前曰、我將誘之、曰、誘之若何、曰我將感其先知、胥動以浮言。曰、往哉、行此、爾必誘之、以成爾志。今有神感爾之先知、使之浮言、耶和華聽之、然耶和華有言、必降災於王。

棘曰、如爾誠欲膏我、立我為王、當藉我蔭為蔽、不然、願火自棘出、燬利巴嫩之柏香木。今爾立亞庇米力為王、如爾作為真實無妄、善待耶路巴力與其家眾、酬其夙恩、則可喜悅。

為此、上帝任其大謬、信諸誑言、使不信真理、悅不義者、悉定厥罪、

王不順輿情、乃耶和華使之、以應所命示羅人、亞希雅告尼八子耶羅破暗之言。

自是以後、掃羅見大闢時、睚眦之。越日上帝使惡神憑掃羅於室中、為神所憑而言。大闢仍鼓琴、掃羅執戟、

不然、願火自亞庇米力出、燬示劍人、與米羅族、亦願火自示劍人及米羅族出、燬亞庇米力。
