棘曰、如爾誠欲膏我、立我為王、當藉我蔭為蔽、不然、願火自棘出、燬利巴嫩之柏香木。

如是亞庇米力逆父殺兄弟七十人、上帝視其罪而報施焉。示劍人之惡、上帝亦報之、耶路巴力子約擔之詛臨其上。

詭詐者流、當如何以報之、維彼誑言、有若武士之利鏃、堅木之爇炭兮。

三百人吹角、耶和華使遍營之人、自相攻擊、敵眾奔至西哩勒之伯示大、又至亞伯米何拉界之大八。

耶和華怒而滅之兮、王亦怒投諸火爐而燬之兮、盡夷其族、靡有孑遺兮、

後上帝以生釁之心置於亞庇米力及示劍人之衷、於是示劍人欺亞庇米力。

願彼墮於火、熱炭加於上、願彼落深坑、不能復起兮、

甫頌讚時、耶和華發伏兵、攻猶大之敵、使亞捫摩押二族、及西耳山人、互相攻擊。蓋亞捫摩押二族、攻滅西耳山人、西耳山人既滅、二族自相殘害。

上帝之恩、日久月長、赳赳武夫、何為矜肆以作惡兮、爾謀殘害、爾行詭譎、如薙髮之刀、其鋒銛利兮、爾作惡過於好善、嗜誑愈於真實、偽為之人、爾出莠言、上帝必使爾永亡、驅爾於室外、滅爾於宇內兮、

當罰其惡、視所為而報之、以彼所行加諸其身兮、
