So God repaid the wickedness of Abimelech, which he had done to his father in killing his seventy brothers.God also returned all the wickedness of the men of Shechem on their heads, and the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal came upon them.

What will He give to you, and what more will He do to you, You deceitful tongue?Sharp arrows of the warrior, With the burning coals of the broom tree!

And when they blew the three hundred trumpets, the Lord set the sword of one against another even throughout the entire army; and the army fled as far as Beth shittah toward Zererah, as far as the edge of Abel meholah, by Tabbath.

You will make them as a fiery oven in the time of your anger; The Lord will swallow them up in His wrath, And fire will devour them.You will eliminate their descendants from the earth, And their children from among the sons of mankind.

Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem; and the leaders of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech,

May burning coals fall upon them; May they be cast into the fire, Into bottomless pits from which they cannot rise.

When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were struck down.For the sons of Ammon and Moab rose up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, completely destroying them; and when they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

Why do you boast in evil, you mighty man? The faithfulness of God endures all day long.Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit.You love evil more than good, Lies more than speaking what is right.
