Gideon and his three hundred men, exhausted yet keeping up the pursuit, came to the Jordan and crossed it.

有个士兵告诉约拿单，说：“你父亲曾叫众人郑重起誓，‘今天吃东西的人必受咒诅。’所以大家很疲惫。”约拿单说：“我父亲使大家受苦了。你看，我只吃了少许蜂蜜，就精神大振，

还生擒了米甸人的两名首领俄立和西伊伯。他们在俄立磐石上杀死了俄立，在西伊伯榨酒池杀了西伊伯。他们继续追杀米甸人，并带着俄立和西伊伯的人头穿过约旦河，交给基甸。
