Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you. Yahweh shall rule over you.”

基甸對他們說：「我不治理你們，我的兒子也不治理你們，耶和華會治理你們。」

基甸對他們說：「我不治理你們，我的兒子也不治理你們，耶和華會治理你們。」

基甸回答說：「我和我子孫都不統治你們，統治你們的是耶和華。

基甸回答他們：“我不統治你們，我的子孫也不統治你們，唯有耶和華統治你們。”

基甸對他們說：『我不管理你們，我兒子也不管理你們，只有永恆主管理你們。』

基甸曰、我不治爾、我子亦不治爾、治爾者乃耶和華也、

其田曰、我不治爾、子孫亦不治爾、治爾者乃耶和華也。

基甸對曰、我不治爾、我子亦不治爾、治爾者惟主、

But Gideon told them,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. The Lord will rule over you.”

But Gideon told them,“ I will not rule over you. My son won’t rule over you either. The Lord will rule over you.”

Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the Lord will rule over you.”

But Gideon replied,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son. The Lord will rule over you!

But Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the LORD will rule over you.”

But Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.”

And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: Jehovah shall rule over you.

Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. The LORD will rule over you.”

But you have today rejected your God, who himself saves you out of all your calamities and your distresses; and you have said to him,‘ No! Set a king over us.’ Now therefore present yourselves before Yahweh by your tribes, and by your thousands.”

“ When you saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, you said to me,‘ No, but a king shall reign over us;’ when Yahweh your God was your king.

For Yahweh is our judge. Yahweh is our lawgiver. Yahweh is our king. He will save us.

A dispute also arose among them, which of them was considered to be greatest.He said to them,“ The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called‘ benefactors.’But not so with you. But one who is the greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.

not as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.

We don’t control your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith.

We have become like those over whom you never ruled, like those who were not called by your name.

The people, the princes of Gilead, said to one another,“ Who is the man who will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said,“ Give us a king to judge us.” Samuel prayed to Yahweh.Yahweh said to Samuel,“ Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me as the king over them.

Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead,“ If you bring me home again to fight with the children of Ammon, and Yahweh delivers them before me, will I be your head?”The elders of Gilead said to Jephthah,“ Yahweh will be witness between us. Surely we will do what you say.”Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and chief over them. Jephthah spoke all his words before Yahweh in Mizpah.

When Yahweh raised up judges for them, then Yahweh was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved Yahweh because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.
