The Midianites, the Amalekites and all the other eastern peoples had settled in the valley, thick as locusts. Their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore.

The Midianites had set up their camp in the valley. So had the Amalekites and all the other tribes from the east. There were so many of them that they looked like huge numbers of locusts. Like the grains of sand on the seashore, their camels couldn’t be counted.

And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the people of the East lay along the valley like locusts in abundance, and their camels were without number, as the sand that is on the seashore in abundance.

The armies of Midian, Amalek, and the people of the east had settled in the valley like a swarm of locusts. Their camels were like grains of sand on the seashore— too many to count!

Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and all the people of the east had settled down in the valley like a swarm of locusts, and their camels were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore.

Now the Midianites, the Amalekites, and all the people of the east were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as numerous as the sand on the seashore.

Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and the people from the east covered the valley like a swarm of locusts. Their camels could not be counted; they were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore.

The Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like locusts for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand which is on the seashore for multitude.

那時，西巴和撒慕拿正在加各，與他們在一起的軍隊約有一萬五千人，就是東方人全營剩下的，因為有十二萬持刀的已經倒下了。

因為他們帶著牲畜和帳棚上來，像蝗蟲那麼多；他們來的人和駱駝無數，進入境內，毀壞全地。

這些王與他們所有的軍隊都一同出來，人數眾多，好像海邊的沙，還有很多馬匹和車輛。

每逢以色列人撒種以後，米甸人、亞瑪力人和東方人都上來，欺壓他們；

耶和華啊！我的仇敵竟然這麼多。起來攻擊我的竟然那麼多。

列國之民啊！你們儘管作惡，但你們終必毀滅！所有在遠處的人民啊，要留心聽！你們儘管束腰吧，你們終必毀滅！你們儘管束腰吧，你們終必毀滅！你們儘管計劃陰謀吧，這些終必失敗；你們儘管提議吧，這些終必不能成立，因為神與我們同在。

君王不是因兵多得勝，勇士不是因力大得救。

列國圍困著我，我靠著耶和華的名必除滅他們。他們圍繞著我，把我圍困，我靠著耶和華的名必除滅他們。他們如同蜜蜂圍繞著我，但他們要像燒荊棘的火熄滅；我靠著耶和華的名必除滅他們。

那時，米甸人、亞瑪力人和東方人，都聚集起來，過了河，在耶斯列平原安營。

所羅門的智慧大過所有東方人的智慧，大過埃及人的一切智慧。

那時有古實人謝拉率領一百萬軍隊，戰車三百輛，前來攻打猶大人；他來到了瑪利沙。於是亞撒出去迎戰；他們就在瑪利沙的洗法谷列陣相對。亞撒呼求耶和華他的神說：“耶和華啊，強弱懸殊，除你以外沒有別的幫助。耶和華我們的神啊，求你幫助我們。因為我們倚靠你，奉你的名去對抗這大軍。耶和華啊，你是我們的神，不要讓人勝過你。”於是耶和華在亞撒和猶大人面前，使古實人大敗，古實人就逃跑。
