When Gideon realized that he was the angel of the LORD, he said,“ Oh no, Lord GOD! I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face!”

基甸见他是耶和华的使者，就说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，我不好了，因为我觌面看见耶和华的使者。”

基甸发现他果然是耶和华的天使，便说：“唉！主耶和华啊，不好了，我面对面见了你的天使。”

基甸看出他是耶和华的使者，就说：“哀哉，我主耶和华啊，因为我面对面看见了耶和华的使者。”

基甸見他是耶和華的使者，就說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，我不好了，因為我覿面看見耶和華的使者。」

基甸見他是耶和華的使者，就說：「哎呀！主耶和華啊！因為我真的面對面看見了耶和華的使者。」

基甸見他是耶和華的使者，就說：「哎呀！主耶和華啊！因為我真的面對面看見了耶和華的使者。」

基甸發現他果然是耶和華的天使，便說：「唉！主耶和華啊，不好了，我面對面見了你的天使。」

基甸看出他是耶和華的使者，就說：“哀哉，我主耶和華啊，因為我面對面看見了耶和華的使者。”

基甸看出他是永恆主的使者；就說：『哀啊！主永恆主啊，我既面對面地看見永恆主的使者，我活不了啦！』

基甸知為耶和華之使者、曰、哀哉、主耶和華歟、我面晤耶和華之使者矣、

其田乃知誠耶和華之使、則曰、我主耶和華歟、我與耶和華使者晤對、將若何。

基甸見為主之使者曰、哀哉我主天主歟、我甚畏懼、因我面見主之使者矣、

When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the Lord, he exclaimed,“ Alas, Sovereign Lord! I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”

Gideon realized it was the angel of the Lord. He cried out,“ Oh no, my Lord and King, I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”

Then Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the Lord. And Gideon said,“ Alas, O Lord God! For now I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face.”

When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the Lord, he cried out,“ Oh, Sovereign Lord, I’m doomed! I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”

When Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the Lord, he said,“ Oh, Lord God! For I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”

Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the Lord. So Gideon said,“ Alas, O Lord GOD! For I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face.”

And Gideon saw that he was the angel of Jehovah; and Gideon said, Alas, O Lord Jehovah! forasmuch as I have seen the angel of Jehovah face to face.

When Gideon realized that He was the Angel of the Lord, he said,“ Oh no, Lord God! I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face!”

And when Gideon perceived that he[ was] an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

When Gideon realized that it was the LORD’s messenger, he said,“ Oh no! Master, LORD! I have seen the LORD’s messenger face to face!”

Gideon saw that he was Yahweh’s angel; and Gideon said,“ Alas, Lord Yahweh! Because I have seen Yahweh’s angel face to face!”

But he added,“ You cannot see my face, for humans cannot see me and live.”

Jacob then named the place Peniel,“ For I have seen God face to face,” he said,“ yet my life has been spared.”

For who out of all humanity has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the fire, as we have, and lived?

At that time I was standing between the LORD and you to report the word of the LORD to you, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain. And he said:

So she named the LORD who spoke to her:“ You are El-roi,” for she said,“ In this place, have I actually seen the one who sees me?”

You said,‘ Look, the LORD our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and we have heard his voice from the fire. Today we have seen that God speaks with a person, yet he still lives.

Then I said: Woe is me for I am ruined because I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Armies.Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken from the altar with tongs.He touched my mouth with it and said: Now that this has touched your lips, your iniquity is removed and your sin is atoned for.Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who will I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me.

No one has ever seen God. The one and only Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s side— he has revealed him.

The angel of the LORD did not appear again to Manoah and his wife. Then Manoah realized that it was the angel of the LORD.“ We’re certainly going to die,” he said to his wife,“ because we have seen God!”But his wife said to him,“ If the LORD had intended to kill us, he wouldn’t have accepted the burnt offering and the grain offering from us, and he would not have shown us all these things or spoken to us like this.”

Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke about him.
