The angel of the Lord came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites.

The angel of the Lord came. He sat down under an oak tree in Ophrah. The tree belonged to Joash. He was from the family line of Abiezer. Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress at Ophrah. He was the son of Joash. Gideon was threshing in a winepress to hide the wheat from the Midianites.

Now the angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the winepress to hide it from the Midianites.

Then the angel of the Lord came and sat beneath the great tree at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash of the clan of Abiezer. Gideon son of Joash was threshing wheat at the bottom of a winepress to hide the grain from the Midianites.

The angel of the LORD came, and he sat under the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash, the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was threshing wheat in the winepress in order to hide it from the Midianites.

Then the angel of the Lord came and sat under the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, as his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press in order to save it from the Midianites.

Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.

And the angel of Jehovah came, and sat under the oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which[ was] in Ophrah, that[ pertained] unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide[ it] from the Midianites.

The LORD’s angelic messenger came and sat down under the oak tree in Ophrah owned by Joash the Abiezrite. He arrived while Joash’s son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress so he could hide it from the Midianites.

Yahweh’s angel came and sat under the oak which was in Ophrah, that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press, to hide it from the Midianites.

耶和華的使者向那婦人顯現，對她說：“你向來不能生育，沒有孩子，現在你必要懷孕，生一個兒子。

基甸對他們說：“我所行的怎能比得上你們呢？在以法蓮拾取剩下的葡萄，不是比在亞比以謝收摘的葡萄更好嗎？

他不再是敵對者，並且他面前的使者拯救了他們。他以自己的愛和憐憫救贖了他們；在古時的一切日子，他背負他們，懷抱他們。

耶和華的使者在曠野的水泉旁邊，就是在到書珥路上的水旁邊，遇到了她，

耶和華的使者對他說：“你為甚麼問我的名字呢？我的名是奇妙的。”瑪挪亞取了一隻山羊羔和素祭，在磐石上獻與那行奇事的耶和華（按照《馬索拉文本》，“行奇事”缺主語，直譯是﹕“獻與耶和華，和行奇事”；現參照各古譯本翻譯）；瑪挪亞和他的妻子一直在觀看。火燄從祭壇上往天升起的時候，耶和華的使者在祭壇上的火燄中也升上去了；瑪挪亞和他的妻子看見了，就俯伏在地。

耶和華轉向基甸，對他說：“你靠著你這能力，去拯救以色列人脫離米甸人的手吧；我不是差派了你嗎？”基甸對他說：“唉，我主啊，我憑著甚麼拯救以色列人呢？看哪，我的家族在瑪拿西支派中是最卑微的，我在我的父家是最年輕的。”耶和華對他說：“因為我必與你同在，你就必擊打米甸人，像擊打一人一樣。”

亞文、巴拉、俄弗拉、

耶和華的使者從吉甲上到波金來，說：“我曾經把你們從埃及領上來，帶你們到我向你們列祖起誓應許的地方；我曾說過：‘我永不廢棄我與你們所立的約；你們不可與這地的居民立約，要拆毀他們的祭壇。’你們竟沒有聽從我的話；你們作的是甚麼呢？因此我又說：‘我必不把他們從你們面前趕走，他們要作你們的敵人（按照《馬索拉文本》，“敵人”作“邊旁”，意思不明確，或譯﹕“網羅”﹔現參照各古譯本翻譯），他們的神要作你們的網羅。’”耶和華的使者對以色列眾人說這些話的時候，眾人就放聲大哭。於是給那地方起名叫波金；他們在那裡向耶和華獻祭。

那救我脫離一切禍患的使者，賜福給這兩個童子。願我的名，我祖亞伯拉罕和以撒的名，藉著他們得以流傳；願他們在地上生養眾多。”

耶和華的使者說：‘你們要咒詛米羅斯，大大咒詛其中的居民；因為他們不來幫助耶和華，不帶領勇士幫助耶和華。’
