And I said unto you, I[ am] the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.

The LORD says,“ Do not start following pagan religious practices. Do not be in awe of signs that occur in the sky even though the nations hold them in awe.

The Lord made an agreement with them and instructed them,“ You must not worship other gods. Do not bow down to them, serve them, or offer sacrifices to them.Instead you must worship the LORD, who brought you up from the land of Egypt by his great power and military ability; bow down to him and offer sacrifices to him.You must carefully obey at all times the rules, regulations, law, and commandments he wrote down for you. You must not worship other gods.You must never forget the agreement I made with you, and you must not worship other gods.Instead you must worship the LORD your God; then he will rescue you from the power of all your enemies.”

For I did not obey my teachers and I did not heed my instructors.

However, you must confess that you have done wrong, and that you have rebelled against the LORD your God. You must confess that you have given yourself to foreign gods under every green tree, and have not obeyed my commands,’ says the LORD.
