我民當憶古昔摩押王巴勒謀害爾曹、庇耳子巴蘭與之黨同、自失亭至吉甲、耶和華之恩澤、爾其念之勿忘。

汝今侍立於耶和華前、我將告爾、耶和華以恩賚於爾祖、爰及爾曹。

在昔斯民、特簡素所未識之上帝、於是戰鬥及於門內、當此之時以色列族四萬人中、欲求一干戈而不得。

欲求薪水、非金莫得兮。

其臘牧者與以撒牧者爭、曰、此屬於我。因其相爭、故以撒稱其井曰埃色。又鑿一井、仍爭不已、故名之曰息拿。離彼、復鑿一井、乃不相爭、故名之哩河伯云、耶和華使我寛舒、蕃衍斯土。

我出入邑門、備位公庭、

憶爾鴻恩、謳爾仁義、極力以頌揚兮。

民自福泉、懽然以汲、

惕其鋒刃、遜於曠野、捨身以餬口兮。

爾當立於殿門、播告乎眾云、凡猶大人、入此門、崇拜耶和華者、應聽其言。

使士師秉公行義、使武夫克敵致果、驅至城下、
