“如果案件复杂，难以决断，如谋杀、诉讼、人身伤害等，就要把案件带到你们的上帝耶和华选定的地方，交给当值的利未祭司和审判官去审理。你们必须执行他们在耶和华所选择的地方宣告的判决，你们要谨慎遵行他们的一切指示。他们教导你们律法，宣布判决后，你们必须完全执行，丝毫不可偏离。如果有人不肯接受事奉你们上帝耶和华的祭司和审判官的判决，就必须处死他。如此，你们便从以色列除掉了罪恶，

那五个非利士首领看见了这一切后，就在当天回以革伦去了。非利士人献给耶和华的金毒疮是分别为亚实突、迦萨、亚实基伦、迦特和以革伦赔罪的。

有一个以法莲人名叫以利加拿，住在以法莲山区的拉玛·琐非城。他是苏弗的玄孙、托户的曾孙、以利户的孙子、耶罗罕的儿子。

我亲自审理他们中间的是非，教他们认识上帝的律例和法度。”

第二天，摩西坐着审理百姓的纠纷，百姓从早到晚都站在摩西周围。

又从伯特利，即路斯，沿着亚基人的边境，直到亚他绿，

你要听我的劝告，愿上帝与你同在。你要做百姓的代表，把案件奏明上帝，

第二天，以利加拿一家清早起来敬拜耶和华，然后回到自己的家乡拉玛。以利加拿与哈娜同房，耶和华顾念哈娜，

撒母耳死了，以色列人都聚在一起哀悼他，把他安葬在拉玛他自己的坟地里。之后，大卫到了巴兰的旷野。

他常常清早起来，站在城门的通道旁边。每当有人来找王审理争讼时，押沙龙便问他是从哪一座城来的，那人就会报上自己所属的支派。押沙龙会对他说：“你的申诉合情合理，可惜王没有派人来听你申诉。”他接着会说：“要是我被立为国中的审判官就好了！那样，任何人有申诉都可以来找我，我一定会为他主持公道。”每当有人要向他叩拜，他都伸手扶他，亲吻他。押沙龙这样对待每一个来向王申诉的以色列人，赢得了民心。

耶和华说：“在拉玛有痛哭哀号的声音，是拉结在为儿女哀痛，不肯接受安慰，因为他们都死了。”
