They cried out to the Lord. Then he provided someone to save them. The man’s name was Othniel, the son of Kenaz. He was Caleb’s younger brother.

The Israelites sent Ehud to Eglon, the king of Moab. They sent him to give the king what he required them to bring him.

Othniel captured it. So Caleb gave his daughter Aksah to him to be his wife. Othniel was the son of Kenaz. He was Caleb’s younger brother.

They cried out to the Lord because of what the Midianites had done.

Then the Israelites cried out to the Lord. They said,“ We have sinned against you. We have deserted our God. We have served gods that are named Baal.”

Jabin used 900 chariots that had some iron parts. He treated the Israelites very badly for 20 years. So they cried out to the Lord for help.

Then the Lord gave them leaders. The leaders saved them from the power of those robbers.

They cried out to you and were saved. They trusted in you, and you didn’t let them down.

So the people cried out to the Lord. They said,‘ We have sinned. We’ve deserted the Lord. We’ve served gods that are named Baal. We’ve served female gods that are named Ashtoreth. But save us now from the power of our enemies. Then we will serve you.’

So you handed them over to their enemies, who treated them badly. Then they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them. You loved them very much. So you sent leaders to help them. The leaders saved them from the power of their enemies.

Then they cried out to the Lord because of their problems. And he saved them from their troubles.He brought them out of the deepest darkness. He broke their chains off.Let them give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love. Let them give thanks for the wonderful things he does for people.He breaks down gates that are made of bronze. He cuts through bars that are made of iron.Others were foolish. They suffered because of their sins. They suffered because they wouldn’t obey the Lord.They refused to eat anything. They came close to passing through the gates of death.Then they cried out to the Lord because of their problems. And he saved them from their troubles.

He handed them over to the nations. Their enemies ruled over them.Their enemies treated them badly and kept them under their power.Many times the Lord saved them. But they refused to obey him. So he destroyed them because of their sins.Yet he heard them when they cried out. He paid special attention to their suffering.

Every time God killed some of them, the others would seek him. They gladly turned back to him again.
