要起行，转到亚摩利人的山区和附近的地区，就是亚拉巴、山区、谢非拉、尼革夫、沿海一带，迦南人的地和黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼发拉底河。

非利士人集合，要与以色列人作战。他们有战车三万辆，骑兵六千，士兵像海边的沙那样多。他们上来，在伯‧亚文东边的密抹安营。

西布伦必住在海边，必成为停船的港口；他的疆界必延到西顿。

耶和华将他们交在以色列人手里，以色列人就击杀他们，追赶他们到西顿大城，到米斯利弗‧玛音，直到东边米斯巴的山谷。以色列人击杀他们，没有留下一个幸存者。约书亚照耶和华所吩咐他的去做，砍断他们马的蹄筋，用火焚烧他们的战车。那时，约书亚转回，夺了夏琐，用刀杀了夏琐王。先前夏琐在这些王国中是为首的。以色列人用刀击杀城中所有的人，把他们完全灭尽；凡有气息的，没有留下一个。约书亚又用火焚烧夏琐。约书亚夺了这些王的一切城镇，擒获了这些王，用刀杀了他们，把他们完全灭尽，正如耶和华的仆人摩西所吩咐的。至于造在山冈上的城镇，除了夏琐以外，以色列人都没有焚烧。约书亚只焚烧了夏琐。

从何珥山划到哈马口，直通到西达达，

撒母耳的话传遍了全以色列。以色列人出去与非利士人打仗，安营在以便‧以谢，非利士人安营在亚弗。非利士人向以色列人摆阵。两军交战的时候，以色列人败在非利士人面前；非利士人在战场上杀了他们约四千人。

耶和华把他们交给在夏琐作王的迦南王耶宾手中；他的将军是西西拉，住在夏罗设‧哈歌印。

亚玛力人住在尼革夫；赫人、耶布斯人和亚摩利人住在山区；迦南人住在沿海一带和约旦河旁。”

他的父母并不知道这事是出于耶和华，因为他在找机会攻击非利士人。那时，非利士人辖制以色列人。

又到义伯仑、利合、哈们、加拿，直到西顿大城。

西顿人、亚玛力人和马云人欺压你们，你们哀求我，我也拯救你们脱离他们的手。

以及东方和西方的迦南人、山区的亚摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人，和黑门山下米斯巴地的希未人那里。

非利士人的领袖各率队伍，或百或千的前进；大卫和他的人同亚吉跟在后边前进。

那日，神在以色列人面前制伏了迦南王耶宾。从此，以色列人的手对迦南王耶宾越来越强硬，直到将迦南王耶宾剪除。

五人就走了，来到拉亿，见那里的人安居，像西顿人的生活一样安宁无虑，那地无人羞辱他们，无人夺取侵略。他们离西顿人很远，与世无争。

金老鼠的数目是按照非利士五个领袖的城镇，就是坚固的城镇和乡村，以及大磐石。这磐石是安放耶和华约柜的，到今日还在伯‧示麦人约书亚的田间。

耶和华的怒气向以色列发作，把他们交给非利士人和亚扪人的手中。

这黑门山，西顿人称为西连，亚摩利人称为示尼珥。
