Ehud then approached him while he was sitting alone in the upper room of his palace and said,“ I have a message from God for you.” As the king rose from his seat,

Then Ehud approached him. King Eglon was sitting alone in the upstairs room of his palace. Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” So the king got up from his seat.

And Ehud came to him as he was sitting alone in his cool roof chamber. And Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” And he arose from his seat.

Ehud walked over to Eglon, who was sitting alone in a cool upstairs room. And Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you!” As King Eglon rose from his seat,

Then Ehud approached him while he was sitting alone in his upstairs room where it was cool. Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you,” and the king stood up from his throne.

Then Ehud came to him while he was sitting in his cool roof chamber alone. And Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” And he got up from his seat.

So Ehud came to him( now he was sitting upstairs in his cool private chamber). Then Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” So he arose from his seat.

And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting by himself alone in the cool upper room. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.

Then Ehud approached him while he was sitting alone in his room upstairs where it was cool. Ehud said,“ I have a word from God for you,” and the king stood up from his throne.

And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of[ his] seat.

When Ehud approached him, he was sitting in his well-ventilated upper room all by himself. Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” When Eglon rose up from his seat,

Ehud came to him; and he was sitting by himself alone in the cool upper room. Ehud said,“ I have a message from God to you.” He arose out of his seat.

涼室溫宮、俱必傾圮、象牙之宅、崇峻之第、俱歸烏有、我耶和華已言之矣。

爾惟憶兆之大君、盡人當敬、孰不畏爾、列國諸聖者、不得與爾頡頏。

天使以尊榮能力、歸於耶和華兮、

耶和華降命於邑中、撲責斯民、苟有智慧者、無不遵從焉、

往告大闢曰、三災之中、耶和華必降一於爾、使爾自擇。

耶和華遣拿單見大闢、告曰、邑中有二人、一富一貧、富者有牛羊、不可勝數、貧者惟畜一羔、牝且稚、自購之後、養之與己子偕、食同食、飲同飲、卧於其懷、視若己女。有旅人造富者之室、富者吝其牛羊、不以供給、乃取貧者之羔、烹之宴客。大闢盛怒、謂拿單曰、我指耶和華以誓、若此者罪當死。必償之四倍其羔、緣作是事、無矜憫之懷。拿單告大闢曰、作此者爾也。以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我沐爾以膏、為以色列王、援爾於掃羅手、得據爾主之業、取爾主之妻、以以色列猶大二族、畀爾治理、爾猶以為寡、我更給爾貨財、難以悉計。何藐視我命、行惡於我前、藉亞捫族之刃、殺赫人烏利亞、而取其妻為妻。爾既藐視我、以赫人烏利亞之妻為妻、人必以刃擊爾家、歷久不已。耶和華又云、我必使惡人生於爾家、爾之骨肉奪爾嬪妃、白晝宣淫、為爾目擊。爾隱行是惡、我將於以色列族前顯以報爾。大闢曰、我犯罪於耶和華。拿單曰、耶和華已宥爾罪、不至死亡。爾之作為若此、使逆耶和華之人愈生厭惡、故爾所得之子必死。拿單歸。耶和華擊烏利亞妻所生之子、遘疾垂危。

自往吉甲、至有雕刻形之處而反、奏於王曰、我有密事、欲以上告。王欲靜謐、屏其侍從。
