以忽乃前、王獨坐於涼室、以忽曰、我奉上帝命、有事告爾、王起。

以笏至王前、王獨坐涼樓、以笏曰、我奉天主命、有事告王、王乃離坐而起、

Ehud then approached him while he was sitting alone in the upper room of his palace and said,“ I have a message from God for you.” As the king rose from his seat,

Then Ehud approached him. King Eglon was sitting alone in the upstairs room of his palace. Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” So the king got up from his seat.

And Ehud came to him as he was sitting alone in his cool roof chamber. And Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” And he arose from his seat.

Ehud walked over to Eglon, who was sitting alone in a cool upstairs room. And Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you!” As King Eglon rose from his seat,

Then Ehud approached him while he was sitting alone in his upstairs room where it was cool. Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you,” and the king stood up from his throne.

Then Ehud came to him while he was sitting in his cool roof chamber alone. And Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” And he got up from his seat.

So Ehud came to him( now he was sitting upstairs in his cool private chamber). Then Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” So he arose from his seat.

And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting by himself alone in the cool upper room. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.

Then Ehud approached him while he was sitting alone in his room upstairs where it was cool. Ehud said,“ I have a word from God for you,” and the king stood up from his throne.

And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of[ his] seat.

When Ehud approached him, he was sitting in his well-ventilated upper room all by himself. Ehud said,“ I have a message from God for you.” When Eglon rose up from his seat,

Ehud came to him; and he was sitting by himself alone in the cool upper room. Ehud said,“ I have a message from God to you.” He arose out of his seat.

我要拆毁过冬和避暑的房屋，象牙的房屋必毁灭，广厦豪宅都归无有。”这是耶和华说的。

万国的王啊，谁不敬畏你？敬畏你本是合宜的；列国所有的智慧人中，在他们一切的国度里，都没有能与你相比的。

神的子民哪，你们要将荣耀、能力归给耶和华，都归给耶和华！

耶和华向这城呼叫—看重你的名是真智慧—你们当听惩罚和派定惩罚的人。

“你去告诉大卫：‘耶和华如此说：我向你提出三样，随你选择一样，我好降给你。’”

耶和华差遣拿单到大卫那里。拿单到了他那里，对他说：“在一座城里有两个人，一个是富翁，一个是穷人。富翁有极多的牛群羊群；穷人除了所买来养活的一只小母羊之外，一无所有。小羊在他家里和他儿女一同长大，吃他所吃的，喝他所喝的，睡在他怀中，在他看来如同女儿一样。有一客人来到这富翁那里，富翁舍不得从自己的牛群羊群中取一只招待来到他那里的旅客，却取了穷人的小母羊，招待来到他那里的人。”大卫就非常恼怒那人，对拿单说：“我指着永生的耶和华起誓，做这事的人该死！他必须偿还小母羊四倍，因为他做这事，没有怜悯的心。”拿单对大卫说：“你就是那人！耶和华—以色列的神如此说：‘我膏你作以色列的王，我救你脱离扫罗的手；我将你主人的家业赐给你，将你主人的妃嫔交在你怀里，又将以色列和犹大家赐给你；若还嫌少，我也会如此这般加倍赐给你。你为什么藐视耶和华的命令，做他眼中看为恶的事呢？你用刀击杀赫人乌利亚，又娶了他的妻子为妻，借亚扪人的刀杀死他。现在刀剑必永不离开你的家，因你藐视我，娶了赫人乌利亚的妻子为妻。’耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必从你家中兴起灾祸攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给你身边的人，他要在光天化日下与你的妃嫔同寝。你在暗中做那事，我却要在以色列众人面前，在日光之下做这事。’”大卫对拿单说：“我得罪耶和华了！”拿单说：“耶和华已经除去你的罪，你必不至于死。只是在这事上，你大大藐视耶和华，因此，你生的孩子必定要死。”拿单就回家去了。耶和华击打乌利亚的妻子为大卫生的孩子，他就得了重病。

但他自己却从靠近吉甲的雕像那里转回来，说：“王啊，我有一件机密的事要奏告你。”王说：“回避吧！”于是所有侍立在他左右的人都退去了。
