耶和華的怒氣向以色列發作，把他們交在搶奪他們的人手中，又把他們交給四圍仇敵的手中，以致他們在仇敵面前再也不能站立得住。

斧豈可向用斧砍伐的自誇呢？鋸豈可向拉鋸的自大呢？這好比棍揮動那舉棍的，好比杖舉起那不是木頭的人。

以法蓮哪，我可以向你怎樣行呢？猶大啊，我可以向你怎樣做呢？因為你們的慈愛如同早晨的雲霧，又如速散的露水。
