耶和华为了考验那些没有经历过迦南战事的以色列人，让他们学习作战，就留下了以下各族：

这些国的人是耶和华留下的，为要藉着他们来试验以色列人，就是所有没有经验过迦南任何战争的人；

耶和華留下這幾族，為要試驗那不曾知道與迦南爭戰之事的以色列人，

耶和華留下這些國家，為要考驗所有未曾經歷迦南任何戰役的以色列人，

耶和華留下這些國家，為要考驗所有未曾經歷迦南任何戰役的以色列人，

耶和華為了考驗那些沒有經歷過迦南戰事的以色列人，讓他們學習作戰，就留下了以下各族：

這些國的人是耶和華留下的，為要藉著他們來試驗以色列人，就是所有沒有經驗過迦南任何戰爭的人；

以下這些國的人就是永恆主所留下，為要藉着他們來試驗以色列人，一切不曾經驗過迦南任何戰事的人，

耶和華留此諸族、是欲試以色列人未知迦南戰事者、

迦南之戰、以色列族中有未見其事者、耶和華欲其練習武備、亦欲試以色列族、故遺數族於此、其名臚列如左。

主遺留此諸族、以試未曾知迦南戰事之以色列人、

These are the nations the Lord left to test all those Israelites who had not experienced any of the wars in Canaan

The Lord left some nations in the land. He left them to test the Israelites who hadn’t lived through any of the wars in Canaan.

Now these are the nations that the Lord left, to test Israel by them, that is, all in Israel who had not experienced all the wars in Canaan.

These are the nations that the Lord left in the land to test those Israelites who had not experienced the wars of Canaan.

These are the nations the LORD left in order to test all those in Israel who had experienced none of the wars in Canaan.

Now these are the nations that the Lord left, to test Israel by them( that is, all the Israelites who had not experienced any of the wars of Canaan;

Now these are the nations which the Lord left, that He might test Israel by them, that is, all who had not known any of the wars in Canaan

Now these are the nations which Jehovah left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;

These are the nations the Lord left in order to test Israel, since the Israelites had fought none of these in any of the wars with Canaan.

Now these[ are] the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them,[ even] as many[ of Israel] as had not known all the wars of Canaan;

These were the nations the LORD permitted to remain so he could use them to test Israel– he wanted to test all those who had not experienced battle against the Canaanites.

Now these are the nations which Yahweh left, to test Israel by them, even as many as had not known all the wars of Canaan;

所以约书亚死的时候所剩下的各族，我必不再从他们面前赶出，为要藉此试验以色列人，看他们肯照他们列祖谨守遵行我的道不肯。”

耶和华你神必将这些国的民从你面前渐渐赶出；你不可把他们速速灭尽，恐怕野地的兽多起来害你。

亲爱的弟兄啊，有火炼的试验临到你们，不要以为奇怪（似乎是遭遇非常的事），

惟有一件事，就是巴比伦王差遣使者来见希西家，访问国中所现的奇事；这件事神离开他，要试验他，好知道他心内如何。

我又要杀死她的党类，叫众教会知道，我是那察看人肺腑心肠的，并要照你们的行为报应你们各人。

耶稣却不将自己交托他们；因为他知道万人，

我要使这三分之一经火，熬炼他们，如熬炼银子；试炼他们，如试炼金子。他们必求告我的名，我必应允他们。我要说：‘这是我的子民。’他们也要说：‘耶和华是我们的神。’”

那世代的人也都归了自己的列祖。后来有别的世代兴起，不知道耶和华，也不知道耶和华为以色列人所行的事。

“我使你在我民中为高台，为保障，使你知道试验他们的行动。

鼎为炼银，炉为炼金；惟有耶和华熬炼人心。

你也要记念耶和华你的神在旷野引导你这四十年，是要苦炼你，试验你，要知道你心内如何，肯守他的诫命不肯。

又在旷野将你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，是要苦炼你，试验你，叫你终久享福；

然而他知道我所行的路；他试炼我之后，我必如精金。

人心比万物都诡诈，坏到极处，谁能识透呢？我耶和华是鉴察人心、试验人肺腑的，要照各人所行的和他作事的结果报应他。

叫你们的信心既被试验，就比那被火试验仍然能坏的金子更显宝贵，可以在耶稣基督显现的时候得着称赞、荣耀、尊贵。
