如其父兄赴愬於我、我則曰、請爾施恩、以之予我、蓋昔戰時、我不留女以為其妻、今亦非爾所妻、若然、則為有罪、

其父兄就我以告、我必曰、請爾施恩於眾、昔戰鬥之時、我不遺女為其妻、今彼得女、非爾所與、故爾無辜。

如其父兄就我儕而爭論、我儕則曰、求爾為我施恩於彼、昔我儕與彼戰時、不留女為其妻、或作昔我儕徵伐基列之雅比不為便雅憫各人得妻求爾以女予我況爾非自以女予之、不至有罪、

When their fathers or brothers complain to us, we will say to them,‘ Do us the favor of helping them, because we did not get wives for them during the war. You will not be guilty of breaking your oath because you did not give your daughters to them.’”

Their fathers or brothers might not be happy with what we’re doing. If they aren’t, we’ll say to them,‘ Do us a favor. Help the men of Benjamin. We didn’t get wives for them during the battle. You aren’t guilty of doing anything wrong. After all, you didn’t give your daughters to them. Your daughters were stolen from you.’ ”

And when their fathers or their brothers come to complain to us, we will say to them,‘ Grant them graciously to us, because we did not take for each man of them his wife in battle, neither did you give them to them, else you would now be guilty.’”

Let them have your daughters, for we didn’t find wives for all of them when we destroyed Jabesh gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not actually give your daughters to them in marriage.’”

And when their fathers or their brothers come to complain to us, we shall say to them,‘ Give them to us voluntarily, because we did not take for each man of Benjamin a wife in battle, nor did you give them to them, otherwise you would now be guilty.’ ”

Then it shall be, when their fathers or their brothers come to us to complain, that we will say to them,‘ Be kind to them for our sakes, because we did not take a wife for any of them in the war; for it is not as though you have given the women to them at this time, making yourselves guilty of your oath.’”

And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come to complain unto us, that we will say unto them, Grant them graciously unto us, because we took not for each man of them his wife in battle, neither did ye give them unto them, else would ye now be guilty.

The men of Israel had sworn an oath at Mizpah:“ None of us will give his daughter to a Benjaminite in marriage.”

But we can’t give them our daughters as wives.” For the Israelites had sworn,“ Anyone who gives a wife to a Benjaminite is cursed.”

What should we do about wives for the survivors? We’ve sworn to the LORD not to give them any of our daughters as wives.”

On that same day Noah and his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, entered the ark, along with Noah’s wife and his three sons’ wives.

But because sexual immorality is so common, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman should have sexual relations with her own husband.

So God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female.
