Everyone who saw it said,“ Nothing like this has ever happened or has been seen since the day the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt to this day. Think it over, discuss it, and speak up!”

Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions, but did not seek the Lord’s counsel.

I did not mean the immoral people of this world or the greedy and swindlers or idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world.But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer who is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.For what business is it of mine to judge outsiders? Don’t you judge those who are inside?

Carefully follow them, for this will show your wisdom and understanding in the eyes of the peoples. When they hear about all these statutes, they will say,‘ This great nation is indeed a wise and understanding people.’

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.

Now if you will listen to Me and carefully keep My covenant, you will be My own possession out of all the peoples, although all the earth is Mine,and you will be My kingdom of priests and My holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”

Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast permeates the whole batch of dough?

It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and the kind of sexual immorality that is not even tolerated among the Gentiles— a man is living with his father’s wife.

for you should wage war with sound guidance— victory comes with many counselors.

“ You are sons of the Lord your God; do not cut yourselves or make a bald spot on your head on behalf of the dead,for you are a holy people belonging to the Lord your God. The Lord has chosen you to be His own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

Finalize plans with counsel, and wage war with sound guidance.
