Everyone who saw it said,“ Nothing like this has ever happened or has been seen since the day the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt until now. Think it over, discuss it, and speak up!”

Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions, but did not seek the LORD’s decision.

I did not mean the immoral people of this world or the greedy and swindlers or idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world.But actually, I wrote you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister and is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard or a swindler. Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God— who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly— and it will be given to him.

Now if you will carefully listen to me and keep my covenant, you will be my own possession out of all the peoples, although the whole earth is mine,and you will be my kingdom of priests and my holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and the kind of sexual immorality that is not even tolerated among the Gentiles— a man is sleeping with his father’s wife.

for you should wage war with sound guidance— victory comes with many counselors.

“ You are sons of the LORD your God; do not cut yourselves or make a bald spot on your head on behalf of the dead,for you are a holy people belonging to the LORD your God. The LORD has chosen you to be his own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

Finalize plans with counsel, and wage war with sound guidance.
