“或者，有哪一个君王要出去和别的君王交战，不先坐下来考虑是否能够用一万兵去迎战那用两万兵来攻打他的呢？否则，就会趁着他还远的时候，差派特使去求问和平的事宜。

你要趁着与你的对头还在路上的时候，赶快与他和解，免得他把你交给审判官，审判官把你交给差役，你就会被投进监狱了。

你和你的对头去见官的时候，在路上就当尽力与他和解，免得他把你拉到审判官面前，审判官把你交给狱卒，狱卒就把你投进监狱。我告诉你：除非你还清了最后的一个小钱，否则你绝不能从那里出来。”

聪明人看见恶事就会躲藏；无知的人却前去自招惩罚。
