爾與斯土之民、不可立約、必摧其壇、汝不遵命、果何為哉。

and you shall not make a covenant with the people of this land, but you shall break down their altars.’ Yet you have disobeyed me. Why have you done this?

So you must not make a covenant with the people of this land. Instead, you must tear down their altars.’ But you have disobeyed me. Why did you do it?

and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed my voice. What is this you have done?

For your part, you were not to make any covenants with the people living in this land; instead, you were to destroy their altars. But you disobeyed my command. Why did you do this?

You are not to make a covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You are to tear down their altars. But you have not obeyed me. What have you done?

and as for you, you shall not make a covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed Me; what is this thing that you have done?

but you must not make an agreement with the people who live in this land. You should tear down the altars where they worship.’ But you have disobeyed me. Why would you do such a thing?

爾之上帝耶和華既以之付爾、則爾勿姑縱、必攻擊之、殲滅之、勿與立約。爾與彼勿相嫁娶、爾女不得適其子、爾子不得娶其女、其女必使爾子不從我、反從他上帝、如是耶和華震怒、絕爾甚速。

爾何肆志遨遊、重蹈故轍、昔爾維亞述是恃、而蒙愧恥、今爾惟埃及是賴、而抱羞慙。

耶和華曰、維昔爾祖、見我所為、有何苛政、故背逆予、崇事虛無、所為放誕、

時日伊邇、上帝之民且被鞫、若我儕先受審判、則不信上帝福音者、將受何報哉、

我上帝歟、方命之罪、我不敢諉、昔爾命臣諸先知告我云、爾所欲據之地甚不潔、因斯民作不善、四境皆然、以此污衊。爾女不得適其子、爾子不得娶其女、勿與之和好、勿助其獲利、則可強盛、享其土產、世為恆業。我之上帝與、我罪大惡重、故罹災害、爾雖加刑、猶不及其罪、反援手以拯我、

耶和華使民滅此異邦、民不聽從兮、乃偕異邦人、爰居爰處、染其污俗兮、事其偶像、罹於罪網兮、焚厥子女、以祭鬼神兮、流子女無辜之血、以祀迦南之偶像、污衊斯土兮、狥私欲、作惡事、偏多穢行兮、於是耶和華奮怒、痛疾厥民兮、

惟赫人、亞摩哩人、迦南人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人、爾之上帝耶和華以其邑付爾得之、爾必盡滅其眾、凡有血氣者、不全其生、遵爾上帝耶和華命。

曰、孰言爾裸乎。我命爾勿食之樹果、爾乃食乎。亞當曰、爾以婦賜我、與我為偶、婦予我果、而我食之。

爾之上帝耶和華、以他民付爾、爾勿姑縱、乃必殲滅、勿事其上帝、恐陷爾於坎阱。

爾今或往埃及、飲西曷之水、或往亞述、飲百辣之水、果何為哉。

爾所往之地、勿與其民立約、恐陷爾於坎阱。必摧其壇、毀其像、斫其偶、斷不容爾以他上帝匹我、此乃我耶和華之名也、故他上帝爾勿崇拜。勿與居民立約、恐彼狥欲、從其上帝而獻祭、遂招爾曹共食祭物。恐爾取其女為媳、其女狥欲從其上帝、以惑爾子亦狥欲以從。

曰、爾果何為、爾弟之血有聲、自地籲我。

必驅居民、凡勒像於碑、及鎔鑄之偶像、汝必壞之、毀厥崇邱、必取其地而居之、蓋我以斯土賜汝為業。

耶和華震怒曰、昔我與以色列族之祖立約、惟彼違逆、不遵我命、

斯世之人、宜聽我言、我眷佑以色列族、詎若幽曠之野、杳冥之域哉。何以我民放縱、不肯詣予。處女之簪珥、新婦之衣裳、無刻或忘、惟我民忘予、歷時已久。爾何冶容誨淫、以爾所為、誘惑蕩子。

異邦之民、悉彼驅逐、所得之業、以繩量度、俾以色列之支派、各居帷幕兮。至高上帝、厥有命令、民再犯之、攖其震怒兮、維彼濟惡、屢行叛逆、無異列祖、如弦絶弓反兮、彼築崇邱、干其憤怒、彼事偶像、攖其忿懥兮、

雕刻之像、像上帝者、乃爾上帝耶和華所惡、必燬以火、如其上飾以金銀、爾毋貪毋取、恐陷爾於罪。毋攜可惡之物入室、必憾之絕之、不然、爾必見絕、有類於彼。

勿與不信者耦、蓋義與不義、何侶之有、光與暗、何交之有、基督與彼列、何契之有、信與不信、何類之有、上帝之殿、木偶之像、何同之有、夫爾固永生上帝之殿也、上帝曰吾將居其內、遊其間、吾為彼上帝、彼為我民、主曰、爾出不潔者中、自為樹立、不近於彼、吾則納爾、

爾所驅之民、服事其上帝、無論高山之巔、茂林之下、爾必廢其處、摧其壇、毀其像、爇其偶、斫其所雕刻之形、滅其名於斯土、

謂亞倫曰、斯民何負於爾、使陷重罪。

嗣後民長就我曰、斯土之民、迦南人、赫人、比哩洗人、耶布士人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩哩人、俱作不善、以色列族眾、祭司、及利未人、與居與處、則清濁不判。成聖之民、與斯土之人雜處、娶其女為妻為媳、民長牧伯、先犯此罪。我聞之不禁裂裳衣、拔鬚髮、愕然而坐、

我所諭者、及使其敬聽我言、我必為其上帝、彼將為我民、如遵我命、必獲享通。爾祖不傾耳以聽、縱其私欲、輒蹈愆尤、退縮不前。自爾祖出埃及之時、迄於今日、我數遣諸僕先知、訓迪爾眾、爾不傾耳以聽、仍強厥項、較祖尤甚。上帝告先知曰、爾雖有命、民不聽從、爾雖招徠、民不應命。故當切指之曰、斯民不聽其上帝耶和華之命、不受訓誨、不言真實、

毋與其人立約、毋事其上帝。勿容之居斯土、恐誘爾獲罪於我、若奉其上帝、則必陷爾於坎阱。

不識上帝、不服吾主耶穌基督福音者、以火爇而譴責之、
