惟爾不可與斯地之居民立約、當毀其祭壇、爾竟不遵我言、爾何為哉、

and you shall not make a covenant with the people of this land, but you shall break down their altars.’ Yet you have disobeyed me. Why have you done this?

So you must not make a covenant with the people of this land. Instead, you must tear down their altars.’ But you have disobeyed me. Why did you do it?

and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed my voice. What is this you have done?

For your part, you were not to make any covenants with the people living in this land; instead, you were to destroy their altars. But you disobeyed my command. Why did you do this?

You are not to make a covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You are to tear down their altars. But you have not obeyed me. What have you done?

and as for you, you shall not make a covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed Me; what is this thing that you have done?

but you must not make an agreement with the people who live in this land. You should tear down the altars where they worship.’ But you have disobeyed me. Why would you do such a thing?

爾上帝耶和華既付於爾、為爾所擊、必殲滅之、勿與立約、勿加矜恤、勿相嫁娶、爾女勿嫁其子、爾子勿娶其女、彼必誘爾子、不從耶和華、而事他神、致耶和華震怒、滅爾甚速、

爾何奔馳、改易爾途、昔緣亞述而蒙羞、今於埃及、亦必蒙恥、

耶和華曰、爾祖視我有何不義、而遐棄我、從事虛無、成為虛妄乎、

蓋時至則鞫自上帝之家始、若自我儕始、彼不服上帝福音者、其終將何如哉、

我上帝歟、事既如此、夫復何言、我儕違棄爾誡、即爾藉爾僕諸先知所命曰、爾所往據之地、乃為不潔、緣斯土諸族之污、與可憎之事、充乎四境、勿以爾女嫁其子、勿為爾子娶其女、勿求其平康及昌熾、使爾強盛、可食其地嘉產、貽厥子孫、世為恆業、我緣惡行大罪、遭斯諸事、而爾我之上帝加罰、較之我罪維輕、且以若許遺民賜我、

民亦不遵耶和華命、滅絕異邦、乃與諸族雜處、習其行為兮、事其偶像、為己網羅兮、獻其子女、以祭鬼神兮、流無辜之血、即其子女之血、以祭迦南偶像、其地為血所污兮、緣其所行自污、所為徇欲兮、於是耶和華忿怒其民、厭惡己業兮、

惟此諸族之邑、爾上帝耶和華賜爾為業、凡有氣息者、勿留其一、赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、爾必盡行殄滅、循爾上帝耶和華命、免彼教爾、效其行於諸神可惡之事、致獲罪於爾上帝耶和華、○

曰、孰語爾裸乎、我戒爾勿食之樹果、爾食之乎、曰、爾所賜偕我之婦、以樹果予我、而我食之、

爾上帝耶和華所付爾之民、必翦滅之、勿加顧惜、勿事其神、蓋為爾之坎阱、○

爾今何為在於埃及之道、以飲西曷之水、何為在於亞述之道、以飲大河之水乎、

爾其慎之、所往之地、勿與其居民立約、恐為爾之坎阱、必毀其壇、碎其柱像、斫其木偶、勿崇奉他神、蓋耶和華乃忌邪之上帝、名為忌邪、勿與居民立約、恐彼狥欲、從其神而獻祭、招爾共食祭品、而爾取其女妻爾子、其女狥欲從其神、使爾子亦狥欲從之、

曰、爾何為耶、汝弟之血有聲、自地籲我、

必於爾前驅其居民、壞其雕刻之木石、鎔鑄之偶像、毀厥崇邱、必取其地而居之、蓋我以斯土賜汝為業、

耶和華怒以色列人曰、斯民乃背我命其祖所守之約、不聽我言、

斯世之人歟、當明耶和華之言、我於以色列族、豈為幽曠之野、杳冥之域乎、我民奚曰、我已放縱、不復詣爾、處女能忘其妝飾、新婦能忘其美服乎、惟我民忘我、其日無從核數、爾治道以求寵、何其孜孜、至誨惡婦循爾之途、

驅逐異邦於其前、量地予之以為業、俾以色列支派、居於其幕兮、惟彼猶試至上上帝、而悖逆之、不守其法兮、轉而背之、行詐如其列祖、變其趨向、如偏反之弓兮、以崇邱激其怒、雕像攖其憤兮、

其神之雕像、必焚以火、其上金銀、勿貪勿取、免爾因此陷於坎阱、以其為爾上帝耶和華所惡也、可憎之物、勿攜入室、恐爾亦成為當滅者、與物無異、必憾之甚、憎之極、以其為當滅之物也、

勿與不信者耦、蓋義與不義、何侶之有、光與暗、何交之有、基督與惡者、何契之有、信者與不信者、何與之有、上帝殿與偶像、何同之有、我儕乃維生上帝殿、如上帝曰、我將居其中、遊其間、我為彼上帝、彼為我民、故曰、爾宜出厥中而自別、勿捫不潔、我則納爾、

爾所驅逐諸族、事神之處、或山邱之上、或綠樹之下、俱當毀滅、毀其壇、碎其柱像、焚其木偶、斫其雕像、滅其名於斯土、

謂亞倫曰、斯民於爾何為、使陷重罪、

斯事既畢、諸牧伯就我曰、以色列眾、及祭司利未人、未與斯土之民絕交、效迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人、行其可憎之事、娶其女為妻為媳、致使聖民與諸族相雜、牧伯民長為其首惡、我聞此事、裂衣袍、拔鬚髮、愕然而坐、

惟命之曰、當聽我言、我則為爾上帝、爾為我民、悉行我所命爾之道、必蒙福祉、惟彼不從、不傾耳以聽、乃行己謀、徇其惡心之剛愎、退卻不前、自爾列祖出埃及時、以迄於今、我日遣我僕諸先知詣爾、乃夙興而遣之、惟爾不從、不傾耳以聽、乃強厥項、作惡甚於列祖、爾將告以斯言、惟彼不聽、爾將呼之、惟彼不應、宜語之曰、斯乃不聽其上帝耶和華之言、不受訓誨之國、真實亡矣、絕於其口、○

毋與其人其神立約、毋容其居爾土、恐使爾獲罪於我、若奉其神、必為爾之坎阱、
