The angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said,“ I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land I swore to give to your ancestors. I said,‘ I will never break my covenant with you,

The angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bokim. There he said to the Israelites,“ I brought you up out of Egypt. I led you into this land. It is the land I promised to give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. At that time I said,‘ I will never break the covenant I made with you.

And the angel of Jehovah came up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you:

The LORD’s angelic messenger went up from Gilgal to Bokim. He said,“ I brought you up from Egypt and led you into the land I had solemnly promised to give to your ancestors. I said,‘ I will never break my agreement with you,

I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”

then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.

“ I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

“ Behold, I send an angel before you, to keep you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

Yahweh appeared to Abram and said,“ I will give this land to your offspring.” He built an altar there to Yahweh, who had appeared to him.

Live in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For I will give to you, and to your offspring, all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,

Yahweh’s angel appeared to the woman, and said to her,“ See now, you are barren and childless; but you shall conceive and bear a son.

Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yahweh your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

and said,“‘ I have sworn by myself,’ says Yahweh,‘ because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son,that I will bless you greatly, and I will multiply your offspring greatly like the stars of the heavens, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gate of his enemies.

Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God.

He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before Yahweh’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.Yahweh said to Satan,“ Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”

She called the name of Yahweh who spoke to her,“ You are a God who sees,” for she said,“ Have I even stayed alive after seeing him?”

Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.”

Joshua said,“ By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite out from before you.

They called the name of that place Bochim, and they sacrificed there to Yahweh.

He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labor of the peoples in possession,that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise Yah!

Yahweh’s angel came and sat under the oak which was in Ophrah, that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press, to hide it from the Midianites.Yahweh’s angel appeared to him, and said to him,“ Yahweh is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

He said,“ My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them.

I took my staff Favor, and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples.

Know therefore that Yahweh your God himself is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with them who love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,

After the number of the days in which you spied out the land, even forty days, for every day a year, you will bear your iniquities, even forty years, and you will know my alienation.’

Do not abhor us, for your name’s sake. Do not disgrace the throne of your glory. Remember, and don’t break your covenant with us.

Yahweh’s angel appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.Moses said,“ I will go now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”When Yahweh saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said,“ Moses! Moses!” He said,“ Here I am.”He said,“ Don’t come close. Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.”Moreover he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.Yahweh said,“ I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man stood in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand. Joshua went to him and said to him,“ Are you for us, or for our enemies?”He said,“ No; but I have come now as commander of Yahweh’s army.” Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and asked him,“ What does my lord say to his servant?”

“ Yahweh says:‘ If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time;then may my covenant also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

Yahweh’s angel called to him out of the sky, and said,“ Abraham, Abraham!” He said,“ Here I am.”He said,“ Don’t lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

“ When forty years were fulfilled, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight. As he came close to see, a voice of the Lord came to him,‘ I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Moses trembled, and dared not look.The Lord said to him,‘ Take off your sandals, for the place where you stand is holy ground.

I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered.

the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads, and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. Let them grow into a multitude upon the earth.”

He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first fruits of all their manhood.He brought them out with silver and gold. There was not one feeble person among his tribes.Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen on them.

and struck all the firstborn in Egypt, the chief of their strength in the tents of Ham.But he led out his own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.He led them safely, so that they weren’t afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

Yahweh’s angel found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain on the way to Shur.He said,“ Hagar, Sarai’s servant, where did you come from? Where are you going?” She said,“ I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.”Yahweh’s angel said to her,“ Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands.”Yahweh’s angel said to her,“ I will greatly multiply your offspring, that they will not be counted for multitude.”

In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he contended with God.Indeed, he struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with us,even Yahweh, the God of Armies; Yahweh is his name of renown!

“ Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me; and the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, behold, he comes!” says Yahweh of Armies.
