他们心里高兴的时候，就说：“叫参孙来，逗我们欢乐。”于是他们把参孙从监狱里提出来，在他们面前戏耍。他们叫他站在两根柱子中间。

波阿斯吃喝完了，心情畅快，就去躺卧在麦堆旁边。路得悄悄走来，掀露他的脚，躺卧在那里。

人正说平安稳定的时候，灾祸忽然临到他们，如同阵痛临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝逃脱不了。

正在那时候，地大震动，城倒塌了十分之一；因地震而死的有七千人，其余的都恐惧，归荣耀给天上的上帝。
