[ Now] as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about,[ and] beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house,“ Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him.”

They were inside enjoying themselves. But some of the evil men who lived in the city surrounded the house. They pounded on the door. They shouted to the old man who owned the house. They said,“ Bring out the man who came to your house. We want to have sex with him.”

As they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, worthless fellows, surrounded the house, beating on the door. And they said to the old man, the master of the house,“ Bring out the man who came into your house, that we may know him.”

While they were enjoying themselves, a crowd of troublemakers from the town surrounded the house. They began beating at the door and shouting to the old man,“ Bring out the man who is staying with you so we can have sex with him.”

While they were enjoying themselves, all of a sudden, wicked men of the city surrounded the house and beat on the door. They said to the old man who was the owner of the house,“ Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him!”

While they were celebrating, behold, the men of the city, certain worthless men, surrounded the house, pushing one another at the door; and they spoke to the owner of the house, the old man, saying,“ Bring out the man who entered your house that we may have relations with him.”

As they were enjoying themselves, suddenly certain men of the city, perverted men, surrounded the house and beat on the door. They spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying,“ Bring out the man who came to your house, that we may know him carnally!”

As they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain base fellows, beset the house round about, beating at the door; and they spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thy house, that we may know him.

While they were enjoying themselves, all of a sudden, perverted men of the city surrounded the house and beat on the door. They said to the old man who was the owner of the house,“ Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him!”

They were having a good time, when suddenly some men of the city, some good-for-nothings, surrounded the house and kept beating on the door. They said to the old man who owned the house,“ Send out the man who came to visit you so we can have sex with him.”

As they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain wicked fellows, surrounded the house, beating at the door; and they spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying,“ Bring out the man who came into your house, that we can have sex with him!”

And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the house round about upon me by night,[ and] thought to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.

But before they lay down, the men of the city,[ even] the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where[ are] the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

[ Certain] men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;

Now the sons of Eli[ were] sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

They have deeply corrupted[ themselves], as in the days of Gibeah:[ therefore] he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.

O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.

And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel’s father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.

Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

But[ the sons] of Belial[ shall be] all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:But the man[ that] shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the[ same] place.

Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial,[ even] Nabal: for as his name[ is], so[ is] he; Nabal[ is] his name, and folly[ is] with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.

But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.
