He answered him,“ We’re traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote hill country of Ephraim, where I am from. I went to Bethlehem in Judah, and now I’m going to the house of the LORD. No one has taken me into his home,

He answered,“ We are on our way from Bethlehem in Judah to a remote area in the hill country of Ephraim where I live. I have been to Bethlehem in Judah and now I am going to the house of the Lord. No one has taken me in for the night.

The Levite answered,“ We’ve come from Bethlehem in Judah. We’re on our way to Ephraim. I live deep in the hill country there. I’ve been to Bethlehem. Now I’m going to the house of the Lord. But no one has taken me home for the night.

And he said to him,“ We are passing from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote parts of the hill country of Ephraim, from which I come. I went to Bethlehem in Judah, and I am going to the house of the Lord, but no one has taken me into his house.

“ We have been in Bethlehem in Judah,” the man replied.“ We are on our way to a remote area in the hill country of Ephraim, which is my home. I traveled to Bethlehem, and now I’m returning home. But no one has taken us in for the night,

And he said to him,“ We are passing from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote part of the hill country of Ephraim, for I am from there, and I went to Bethlehem in Judah. But I am now going to my house, and no one will take me into his house.

So he said to him,“ We are passing from Bethlehem in Judah toward the remote mountains of Ephraim; I am from there. I went to Bethlehem in Judah; now I am going to the house of the Lord. But there is no one who will take me into his house,

And he said unto him, We are passing from Beth- lehem- judah unto the farther side of the hill- country of Ephraim; from thence am I, and I went to Beth- lehem- judah: and I am now going to the house of Jehovah; and there is no man that taketh me into his house.

He answered him,“ We’re traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote hill country of Ephraim, where I am from. I went to Bethlehem in Judah, and now I’m going to the house of the Lord. No one has taken me into his home,

And he said unto him, We[ are] passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence[ am] I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I[ am now] going to the house of the LORD; and there[ is] no man that receiveth me to house.

The Levite said to him,“ We are traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote region of the Ephraimite hill country. That’s where I’m from. I had business in Bethlehem in Judah, but now I’m heading home. But no one has invited me into their home.

He said to him,“ We are passing from Bethlehem Judah to the farther side of the hill country of Ephraim. I am from there, and I went to Bethlehem Judah. I am going to Yahweh’s house; and there is no one who has taken me into his house.

So they set up for themselves Micah’s carved image that he had made, and it was there as long as the house of God was in Shiloh.

Do not destroy me along with sinners, or my life along with men of bloodshed

They set out, went to Bethel, and inquired of God. The Israelites asked,“ Who is to go first to fight for us against the Benjaminites?” And the LORD answered,“ Judah will be first.”

If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown aside like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

Year after year, when she went up to the LORD’s house, her rival taunted her in this way. Hannah would weep and would not eat.

This man would go up from his town every year to worship and to sacrifice to the LORD of Armies at Shiloh, where Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were the LORD’s priests.

On the fourth day, they got up early in the morning and prepared to go, but the girl’s father said to his son-in-law,“ Have something to eat to keep up your strength and then you can go.”

The entire Israelite community assembled at Shiloh and set up the tent of meeting there. The land had been subdued before them,
