That evening an old man came into the city. He had been working in the fields. He was from the hill country of Ephraim. But he was living in Gibeah. The people who lived there were from the tribe of Benjamin.

晚上，有一个老年人从田间做工回来。他原是以法莲山地的人，住在基比亚；那地方的人却是便雅悯人。

看哪，晚上有一个老人从田间做工回来。他是以法莲山区的人，寄居在基比亚；那地方的人是便雅悯人。

忽有一個老年人野外作工晚上回來；那人原是屬於以法蓮山地的；他寄居在基比亞；而那地方的人卻是便雅憫人。

既暮、有老者自田工作而歸、彼乃以法蓮山地人、旅於基比亞、此地之人、屬便雅憫族、

既夕、有老者自田耕作而歸、彼生於以法蓮山、旅於其庇亞、邑中之民則盡屬便雅憫族。

既暮、有老者自田耕作而歸、彼原以法蓮山之人、寄居於基比亞、邑之居民、悉屬便雅憫支派、

That evening an old man from the hill country of Ephraim, who was living in Gibeah( the inhabitants of the place were Benjamites), came in from his work in the fields.

And behold, an old man was coming from his work in the field at evening. The man was from the hill country of Ephraim, and he was sojourning in Gibeah. The men of the place were Benjaminites.

That evening an old man came home from his work in the fields. He was from the hill country of Ephraim, but he was living in Gibeah, where the people were from the tribe of Benjamin.

In the evening, an old man came in from his work in the field. He was from the hill country of Ephraim, but he was residing in Gibeah where the people were Benjaminites.

Then behold, an old man was coming out of the field from his work at evening. Now the man was from the hill country of Ephraim, and he was staying in Gibeah, but the men of the place were Benjaminites.

Just then an old man came in from his work in the field at evening, who also was from the mountains of Ephraim; he was staying in Gibeah, whereas the men of the place were Benjamites.

And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even: now the man was of the hill- country of Ephraim, and he sojourned in Gibeah; but the men of the place were Benjamites.

In the evening, an old man came in from his work in the field. He was from the hill country of Ephraim but was residing in Gibeah, and the men of that place were Benjaminites.

And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which[ was] also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place[ were] Benjamites.

But then an old man passed by, returning at the end of the day from his work in the field. The man was from the Ephraimite hill country; he was living temporarily in Gibeah.( The residents of the town were Benjaminites.)

Behold, an old man came from his work out of the field at evening. Now the man was from the hill country of Ephraim, and he lived in Gibeah; but the men of the place were Benjamites.

In those days Israel didn’t have a king. There was a Levite who lived deep in the hill country of Ephraim. He got a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah.

Then people get up and go to work. They keep working until evening.

The sleep of a worker is sweet. It doesn’t matter whether they eat a little or a lot. But the wealth of rich people keeps them awake at night.

Anyone who has been stealing must never steal again. Instead, they must work. They must do something useful with their own hands. Then they will have something to give to people in need.

So they continued on. As they came near Gibeah in Benjamin, the sun went down.

All hard work pays off. But if all you do is talk, you will be poor.

Even when we were with you, we gave you a rule. We said,“ Anyone who won’t work shouldn’t be allowed to eat.”

And do everything you can to live a quiet life. You should mind your own business. And work with your hands, just as we told you to.Then unbelievers will have respect for your everyday life. And you won’t have to depend on anyone.

You will have to work hard and sweat a lot to produce the food you eat. You were made out of the ground. You will return to it when you die. You are dust, and you will return to dust.”

I decided to study things carefully. I used my wisdom to check everything out. I looked into everything that is done on earth. What a heavy load God has put on human beings!

Money gained in the wrong way disappears. But money gathered little by little grows.

Your work will give you what you need. Blessings and good things will come to you.

Put your outdoor work in order. Get your fields ready. After that, build your house.
