大衛回到耶路撒冷的宮殿，就把他所留下看守宮殿的那十個妃嬪帶走，關進冷宮。王供養她們，但不與她們同房。她們被幽禁直到死的日子，終生如同寡婦。

拿鶴的妾名叫琉瑪，她生了特巴、迦含、塔哈斯和瑪迦。

大衛離開希伯崙之後，在耶路撒冷又娶了妻妾，生了更多兒女。

約押進屋見王，說：「你今天使你的所有臣僕滿面羞愧了！今天是他們救了你的性命、你兒女的性命、你妃嬪的性命。

她傍晚進去，清晨回到另一個妃嬪宮，歸在掌管妃嬪的王室太監沙士甲手下；除非王喜悅她，提名召喚，否則她就不能再去見王。

神難道不是把你們造成一體，又把他的靈分配給了你們嗎？神要的是什麼呢？是屬神的後裔。所以你們當謹守自己的心靈，不可背棄年輕時所娶的妻子。

拉結死了，埋葬在通往以法他的路上；以法他就是伯利恆。

於是他們為押沙龍在屋頂上支搭了一座帳篷，押沙龍就在以色列公眾眼前與他父親的妃嬪們同房。

『猶大之地伯利恆啊！你在猶大的首要城鄉中，絕不是最小的，因為將來有一位領袖要從你那裡出來，他要牧養我的子民以色列。』」

至於亞伯拉罕眾妾的兒子，亞伯拉罕也給了他們禮物，在自己還活著的時候，就打發他們離開他的兒子以撒往東，到東方之地去。
