於是，他們把從耶路撒冷上帝殿中擄來的金器拿來，王與大臣、王后和妃嬪便用這些器皿飲酒。

他有七百個妻子，都是外國的公主，還有三百個妃嬪。這些女子使他的心背棄耶和華。

大衛回到耶路撒冷的宮裡，把從前留下來看守王宮的十個妃嬪關進冷宮，供養她們，卻不再和她們同房。她們像寡婦一樣在軟禁中度過餘生。

拿鶴的妾流瑪生了提八、迦含、他轄和瑪迦。

以法蓮山區住了一個名叫米迦的人。

大衛從希伯崙遷到耶路撒冷以後，又選立妃嬪，生了更多的兒女。

約押就進到屋裡，對王說：「你的僕人們救了你和你妻妾兒女的性命，你今天卻使他們感到羞愧。

她晚上進去，次日被帶到另一個女宮，交給管理妃嬪的太監沙甲。除非王喜歡她，提名召見她，否則她不會再見到王。

上帝不是把你們結合為一體，叫你們肉體和心靈都歸祂嗎？祂為何這樣做？是為了得敬虔的後裔。所以，要看管好你們的心，不可對自己年輕時所娶的妻子不忠。

拉結死後就葬在通往以法他的路旁，以法他即伯利恆。

羅波安共有十八個妻子、六十個妾、二十八個兒子、六十個女兒。眾妻妾中瑪迦最得寵愛，

以色列人把他葬在他的土地上，就是在迦實山北邊、以法蓮山區的亭拿·西拉。

於是，他們便為押沙龍在殿頂蓋了一座帳篷，他就當著所有以色列人的面與父親的妃嬪同寢。

『猶大地區的伯利恆啊！你在猶大各城中並不是最小的，因為有一位君王要從你那裡出來，牧養我的以色列子民。』」

他趁自己還在世的時候，把一些禮物送給他的妾所生的兒子們，讓他們離開他的兒子以撒到東方去。
