他父親素來沒有使他憂悶，說：「你是做甚麼呢？」他甚俊美，生在押沙龍之後。

作官的原不是叫行善的懼怕，乃是叫作惡的懼怕。你願意不懼怕掌權的嗎？你只要行善，就可得他的稱讚；

我曾告訴他必永遠降罰與他的家，因他知道兒子作孽，自招咒詛，卻不禁止他們。
