米迦这个人有了神堂，又造了以弗得和家中的神像，派他的一个儿子作祭司。

非利士人进攻，以色列人败了，各往自己的家逃跑。被杀的人很多，以色列倒下的步兵有三万。神的约柜被掳去，以利的两个儿子何弗尼、非尼哈也都被杀了。

米迦把这一千一百块银子还他母亲。他母亲说：“我把这银子分别为圣，亲手献给耶和华，为我儿子造一尊雕刻的像，以及一尊铸成的像。现在我把银子交给你。”

西坡拉生了一个儿子，摩西给他起名叫革舜，因他说：“我在外地作了寄居者。”

甚至离弃示罗的帐幕，就是他在人间所搭的帐棚；又将他有能力的约柜交给人掳去，将他的荣耀交在敌人手中；并将他的百姓交给刀剑，向他的产业发怒。

以色列人又行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，耶和华将他们交在非利士人手中四十年。

“‘凡制造耶和华所憎恶的偶像，无论是雕刻的，是铸造的，就是工匠用手造的，或暗中设置的，这人必受诅咒！’众百姓要回应说：‘阿们！’

又带着她的两个儿子：一个名叫革舜，因为摩西说：“我在外地作了寄居者”；

“在你中间，在耶和华—你神所赐你的各城中，任何一座城里，若有男人或女人做了耶和华—你神眼中看为恶的事，违背了他的约，去事奉别神，敬拜它们，或拜太阳，或拜月亮，或拜天上的万象，是我不曾吩咐的。有人告诉你，你也听见了，就要细心探听。看哪，是真的，确实有这可憎的事在以色列中发生，你就要将行这恶事的男人或女人拉到城门外，用石头把这男人或女人处死。要凭两个证人或三个证人的口，才可以把他处死，不可只凭一个证人的口处死他。证人要先动手，然后众百姓也动手把他处死。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉。

“你们不可为自己造虚无的神明，不可竖立雕刻的偶像或柱像，也不可在你们的地上安放石像，向它跪拜，因为我是耶和华—你们的神。

他把列国的地赐给他们，他们就承受万民劳碌得来的，好让他们遵他的律例，守他的律法。哈利路亚！

我知道我死后你们必全然败坏，偏离我所吩咐你们的道。日后必有祸患临到你们，因为你们做了耶和华眼中看为恶的事，以你们手中所做的惹他发怒。”

“不可为自己雕刻偶像，也不可做什么形像，仿佛上天、下地和地底下水中的百物。

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，你必和你的祖先同睡。这百姓要起来，在他们所要去的地上，在那地的人中，随从外邦的神明行淫，离弃我，违背我与他们所立的约。
